I have always found biting to be one of the more versatile tools a Domina can use -- it can be used under circumstances requiring swift correction or retribution (among others).  But I have increasingly wondered whether of those Mistresses who employ biting in their arsenals of domination: do you ever bite for sheer enjoyment or pleasure?  Thanks in advance to those who share their thoughts.

Yeah.  I have a custom set of feline dental prosthetics that was made for me by the guy who does the makeup effects for the TV series "Buffy".  They are very, very sharp.  Me likey biting.

I prefer to nip rather than bite but I also try to abide by a strict no marks policy too. I don't think it's that odd or unusual, in your example I bite both for pain and for pleasure...there's something about ear lobes being nibbled that can turn even a dom man to jello.

I bite for pleasure - mine and the boy's .... and I bite to leave marks, just not where they will be visible.

I do not bite as part of punishment - ever.  I don't do things that I enjoy doing as punishment.

i attended a play party this saturday and was bitten 3 times, by 3 different women. They seemed to enjoy it, and i know i did. i can't think of what else they would have gotten out of it, but i am not against them biting more to find out.

     Whoa, never thought I'd find myself adding to a thread about biting.[:)] As I grew up I would always tell folks off by (adding) bite me! But none were ever so brave as to oblige me with so much as a nibble. Guess you'd say I was not exactly [approachable] *giggling*
     My ex-fiance was a biter and not until he started biting me did I realize that I actually enjoyed it.[:)] I still can't fully wrap my head around why or how it makes me feel. I just know that I still can remember the feelings it aroused in me. When I wasn't with him(we lived 2.5hrs apart) I would find myself longing for that feeling. But I have seen some people so into being biten that they can not perform unless they are biten really really hard. It's like the more often they are biten the harder they have to be biten in order to reach the same level of pleasure. Kind of scary in a way because you can only bite so hard before you break the skin and draw blood. I'm so not into drawing blood..ewww yukk *spits*   
     All this to say that biting is very erotic whether you are doing the biting or being biten, but can get dangerous.

I just had to reply. A certain, former pro, mistress Baileys, introduced me to biting during one session. I loved it so much that I asked her for more. She counted fourty two full sets of bite marks from my shoulders to my thighs by the time she decided to stop.

I love to bite.
My favorite spots are the collar bone, sides of the neck, adams apple area, inner most thigh, and wrists. I don't always give warning.
 
I have NEVER bite for a punishment and I doubt I would simply because it is something I enjoy and do during play or simply to get their attention. I try to built up their tolerance level for being bite so I would not corrupt that by using it as a punishment. My goal is to be able to either leave a mark or break skin and that takes time to get to the level of tolerance.

I have yet to draw blood when biting ... but I've come close, and since I have this vampire fascination (it's not a fetish yet), I doubt it will be long before I do.  I also like to have my neck sucked on/bitten lightly - but visible marks are bad, so it doesn't happen very often (I mark easily).

Biting is deeply erotic. Gotta love it! Used to have a hella kinky vanilla girlfriend who would bite right through the bottom of my chin and draw blood when I was on top of her - oh baby! lol!

Drawing blood is dangerous, the human mouth is a very bacteria flooded place and the bitee if the skin is broken can get serious infections.
 
My short person and his cousin got into a fist fight when they were younger and my short person popped his cousin in the mouth and his hand was puntured by my nephew's tooth. I cleaned it throughly and put anti-biotic cream on it wrapped it in sterile dressing but the next morning he woke up with huge swollen hand. I took him to the ER and it was so serious that he had to immeadiately have 3 hrs. of intravenious anti-biotics and had turn return to the hospital for the 3 following days for the same 3 hr. treatment.
 
So for myself my partner needs to be very skilled at the art, to bite hard enough to make it exciting but not injure the skin barrier.
