How long can a butt-plug be left inserted?    Is it possible to move around with one inside?   I have been asked to wear a remote controlled butt plug to a business and dinner function.  It will probably last about 4 hours or so.   Is it safe to leave a butt plug in that long?  and will I be able to move about the party?

Any suggestions would be helpful to this anal-virgin.

The longest I've had a buttplug in non-stop was eight hours actually. I was trying to see how long I could keep my ponytail buttplug in and that's where a former Daddy drew the line for me. And yes, I could move around with it in. I sat, stood, walked around, laid down, the whole bit. Actually I even drove my car for an hour with it in. lol

I've never timed it but it has frequently been more than 4 hours and I don't think I've ever gone 8.    The key for me is using one that easily stays in.   The long term ones have usually been worn to formal functions where the Domme was accompanying me in a vanilla setting.   The most eye popping part is when it gets pulled back out.

Aside from the safety of leaving the plug in for an extended period, i have a couple of concerns.  This wirelessly controlled device has a fairly large box structure on the end of it where the batteries are held.  I'm concerned that the box will cause it to slip out while I'm walking around.   Also, I'm concerned that the device may make significant noise if She decides to use the remote, particularly if I'm sitting on a wooden chair or other hard surface.

Why not try it at home first? You can see if it will be comfortable enough to wear for that long, and try sitting on different items to see if it does make noise. Seems like a pretty easy solution to me. [;)]

You're right, I did assume that, but there is also the possibility of asking if you may try it beforehand. I don't know the full circumstances, but to me this would be a fair request. Of course I might get blasted for this if there's some kind of standard protocol that I don't know about, but it may also be possible for you to purchase an identical or similar item to try first. Just throwing some ideas out there, because regardless of what worked for other posters, your experience could be totally different.

If it is a business function, as stated, I would imagine she would want to make sure nothing embarrassing happens, so i would ask her to give me access before the event.

As for how long, I have worn one at work for 9 hours, never had any problems in the few times I did that.

You said you're an anal virgin. In this case, she's being ridiculous. You might find it unbearably painful. You may not even be able to insert it yourself without practice and lots of lube. You don't know anything about how loud it will be. I would address all these concerns ahead of time and if she refuses to, I would consider that telling that she does not know enough about this.

I don't think you should agree to wear your first-ever butt plug to an important business function right off the bat. That is just asking for problems of various sorts (your ass loudly buzzing, the butt plug popping out, the butt plug not going in in the bathroom, the butt plug making you walk or sit funny, etc. etc. etc.)

Surely she could introduce your butt to the vibrating plug in a more secure setting as a first trial? That would be reasonable. Refusal on her part would be unreasonable and, furthermore, unsafe for your continued employment.

Thank you all for the comments.  I have discussed your comments with Her, and as suggested I will be getting the device ahead of time to try out.

I could never wear a butt plug in public or for an extended period of time.

If you put a vibrating butt plug in me, I have an orgasm.

So going to a public dinner or business function would be out of order.

I think it could be a good mindfuck to say you want someone to do that, but sorry, I am not upsetting other patrons or losing a career opportunity. I can cum at home. :)

Well the function is a conference where we will be with other people in the same industry.   There won't be anyone else from my company there, but there may be a few acquaintances.-- so its not like I would lose a career opportunity if somehow I'm outed.   It's one of those conference things where you walk around from booth to booth and then there is a sit-down dinner.

What's wrong with a home-made EEG ?

D'ya have any idea what I would have to pay for a certified EEG unit with a similar channel count?

Of course, sticking one in my rear never occured to me, nor have I ever seen one designed to vibrate via remote.

Depending on the person--and the bottom--you may find a need to remove the plug and re-lube it throughout the course of the evening.  I know some who remove and lube once an hour...for others....every two....find what works for you.

I strongly echo the others who said--try wearing it at home for extended periods of time before venturing out.  And yes--if it's "peaking" out between your cheeks, others may be able to hear it vibrating.
