Hello all, i've got an idea for something i want to build, but want to see if anyone can help with a few details i havent quite figured out yet.

Me and my pet have been wanting a fucking machine for quite a while, unfortunatly any i've ever seen for sale are out of at least my price range, but recently at work i've began working with linear actuators occasionally and found i can get my hands on a high speed 4 to 8 inch stroke one with a 22lb working force under load for fairly cheap.

But i have a few questions, and concerns. My main question would be, what could i use to wire it up correctly so that at the end of the stroke it returns to stored position, and vice versa? Thats my main hurdle.

Next would be a easy, or at least not horribly complicated way to mount a dildo or whatever other attachments i would want.

I've got a welder, wood working tools, etc so i can build a stand or some type of holder fairly easy but could still use ideas on that also if anyone has any.

and my main concern, is 22lbs of working force under load too much? I in no way would intend for it to "bottom out" and cause any damage, and obviously wouldnt be used except under supervision, but im worried that it could be too much power for such an application.

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas please let me know, i would like to get this thing up and going for some play time soon!

Look at some model numbers and find the specifications for the drive circuitry. After that designing or customizing it should not be a big problem.

Depending on which linear actuator you have in mind, the cost and difficulty controlling it can vary. Some have linear pots in them, some have encoders. most decent ones also have internal limit switches to stop it at each end of stroke. But making an interface to either the linear pot or encoder could run a few bucks. a cheap encoder counter module could run 100 bucks or so and that still doesnt count the cost of controlling the motor. If you have a link to the manufacturers page on it i could probably help with the circuit.
I bought a linear actuator with controller module when i wanted to redo the fucking chair i made. but never got around to using it.

22 lbs of working force i assume means foot pounds. if so, that isnt too much. my fucking chair has a motor rated at 150 inch pounds and that can be stalled during anal use. and 150 inch pounds is around 12 or 13 foot pounds , so you should be fine there.

For mounting the dildoe, i am sure there are a few ways but i used a ring method similar to a dildoe harness. on my web page you will find 2 links one to the chair and one for a cheap dildoe mount.

For mounting, research Vac-u-loc. Plenty of dildos for this system are available, and you might be able to make the actual mount yourself.

what about using a timer to set the extend and retract time.....
simple and user adjustable

on the cheap side, use a sawzaw with dildo adapter. If you are crafty, use a windshield wiper motor of a car , a 12v battery and a variable resistor.
