its very very funny how people take things that can have more than one meaning and attempt to bolster themselves up by quoting out of context and intentionally misundedrstanding

it happens elsewhere but here its a lot worse

as i type this there are 1900 logged onto collerchat and i think max 10% posting

its hugely entertaining and im 200% sure none of us are stupid so some is done on purpose

as i said hugely entertaining

people reading things into what people said that they dont mean

lol its only people typing on a screen but the people typing are real

as i said its just a very funny quirk ive noticed

when someone is CLEAR on what they post, then usually there is no "quoting out of context and intentionally misunderstanding "  (well, we'll exempt P&R forum from that).


Humans are humans.. why would you expect that an internet forum is any less prone to the idiosyncrasies that the human race exhibits daily?

Can't agree with the highlighted.  There absolutely are stupid people.  I'm quite confident about that one.  While it certainly isn't the majority of posters, it's *very* easy to spot the ones who are.

From My understanding, a relatively low number of people who join message boards will participate in posting.  It's not unique to this site.  Doesn't really effect Me much, since I'm much more interested in the folks who participate in BDSM in their lives as well as just on the boards.  Their contributions, even if it is the minority, are vastly much more interesting.

Care to link the thread?  There are quite a few of them that are meet up threads where several members from the boards have gotten together for one occasion or another. 

As to hiding behind the screen, sure......  Some people do that.  Can't say I'm one of them though. 

ETA - Looking at the folks on the thread, it's kind of funny that there's only one that I can identify that hasn't had anybody mention on ANY thread that they've actually met them.

One of these things is not like the other......  Which one is it?  Do you know?

Indeed you are. If you'd stop whining for more than 10 seconds and actually state your case, and that means state it in plain English, not David-ese, then I'd be happy to give an opinion.

how is it irony that there are more men coming here and less women? that's fairly standard; do you know what irony means?
are you puzzled by all the female responders to topics even though there are more men coming here? women, in general, like to chit chat. so they do.
i suspect many of the men who come here are mostly interested in the personals side and don't venture over to the forums. it's really not that complicated.

the problem with you, though, is that you attempt to take some bizarre kind of moral high ground, whining and sniveling about "omgz peeble on CM r mean 2 me!" and doing the very thing that you claim to have such a problem with. that really makes no sense, and no one will ever take you seriously.

Seems like a complaint about people from the boards having real life friendships because there are other folks who have either some jealousy or insecurity issues.  Not how the thread started (I think) but as usual, it's turning into a whine.
