Until recently, in the head or heart dichotomy, I am one who would fall into the "head" category, precisely because I really do know what I want from a submissive, what I require to make me, and by extension him, happy. It make no sense, and seems like a waste of time for both of us, for to me to encourage someone who is missing an element of what I need, regardless of the reason.
That being said, occasionally forces in the universe converge to remind me that I am not in total control of even myself, lol, and I'm in the process of evaluating a submissive that *I* contacted, even though he doesn't fit my perfect world scenario.
I'm still not understanding it, or me. [:)]
