'In a swift affirmation of Arizona's fast-growing and powerful new political movement, Secretary of State Ken Bennett notified Gov. Jan Brewer that the once seemingly invincible architect of the state's controversial SB 1070 "papers please" immigration law has officially been recalled. Bennett confirmed that the recall petitions delivered by the Citizens for a Better Arizona "exceeds the minimum signatures required by the Arizona Constitution."

"Let's make no mistake about it," said Randy Parraz, co-founder of the Citizens for a Better Arizona. "Russell Pearce has been recalled."

Excellent. Recall those trying stem the tide of the crime wave, but do nothing to address the conerns of scores of Americans in border states. Soon there will be no hospitals in border towns, the areas will become war zones and honest, hard working, LAW-ABIDING citizens will live in fear of the influx of criminals the government is both unwilling and unable to do anything about.

Violent and property crime is down in Az and was sharply falling BEFORE the law was inacted.

Darque, because you DARE say anything that is not "nice" about illegal immigration and how it might be putting a strain on the American economy, I am obligated to imply you my sir might be a racist!
We are supposed to be able to give medical care, shelter and education to those here in the country illegally, even at a time we may have to cut money going to poor, elderly, disabled, and barely making ends meet American citizens.

So what if they have to close the hospitals down, or American citizens can't get the necessary care that they need?

He hasn't been recalled they just got enough signatures on the petition to have his recall on the ballot. That election will determine the matter of his recall.

"Within 15 days, Gov. Brewer must set the date for the recall election, which presumably will take place in November."

There will be an election or do you suggest Brewer just ignore her legal obligations?

I have always been for strong borders and lowering the number of illegals crossing.

I`m not for a police state or for this extreme and arbitrary law.

If cons were really serious,they would throw the Americans who hire illegals in jail,for real.

The CEO`s of those agri-businesses sitting at a defendant`s table or being photographed doing a perp-walk would go much further than asking everyone who "looks illegal" for "your papers"..
