The really thin needles accupuncturists use wouldnt hurt as much, when i had accupuncture done i didnt feel many needles at all going into me, the ones i did feel didnt really hurt. I know those needles dont go in very deep but under the skin is where the nerve endings seem to be so I find once a needle gets past the initial pricking, then i dont feel much, at least thats the way it was getting pierced for me.
