Depends on the culture but the Lady thing goes back when Dom or Domme was treated like a dirty word, also the translation of the Latin Domina, Lady of the manor kinda thing, Goddess used to be code for an advanced age group or/and a rather advanced weight range (think more Venus of Willendorf and less Venus of Milo), think goddess worship.

Now there are a lot of princesses about, usually the bratty princess kind who wants you to give her all your money and drain your wallet, if that floats your boat...

Oh I see, Lady C.

So . . . you've now changed your mind about how you hate the 'Lady' in the name 'LadyConstanze'? Do you now feel it to be perfectly natural and appropriate to you?

Good for you, if so. You've always seemed very ladylike to me, even when you've been a bit drunk on the 'phone.

The people who don't think posting here is a good idea generally make posts that fall into one of the following categories:

1. Bitches here don't fucking answer my messages. They're rude!
2. I iz Master. Applicants line up to my left.
3. Why do submissives think they have the right to refuse the collar of a random Dom?
4. I am supreme Mistress. All men take out your wallets and line up.
5. Discuss my specific fantasy in excruciating detail.
6. My Dom/me (even better, my submissive) tells me that there is some rule book and that X must always happen. Is that true?
7. My Dom lies to me, cheats on me, loses his temper and screams at me, and spends more time with his unknowing wife than me. How do I become more submissive so this doesn't happen?
8. There are too many fakes on collarme. I demand that the site take action NOW!
9. I have the opportunity to buy a slave who I have never met for $5000. Could anything go wrong?

In other words, it wasn't the posts. It was the people behind them.

I created a profile a few days ago, met interesting, fun, good and straight to the point people. I find it good to be opened to healthy, constructive criticism, because there is always room for improvement. And I don't break easily. Once you learn something the good or the hard way, improvement readily follows if you are up to it.

First of all let me thank Y/you all in advance for any answers, if any answer at all.

I was wondering what is or what constitutes a good profile to A Dominant Female / Mistress. What is deserving of your attention in a profile, speaking of the general elements of a profile. What, in your opinion are the don't do's or the things you absolutely abhor in a profile. And what would be an ideal submissive profile.

Thank you

Tony.

I just got done looking at your new and improved profile. Not bad, there are some things *I* would change, but it's not my profile.

Let me tell you a little secret, since it's Friday and I am feeling especially benevolent. The people who I like on the message boards and the people on the other side who I am most likely to respond to, are those with a personality.

Do I always like what they say or the way they say it? No.

Do I always agree with their opinions? No.

Do I think they can be seriously assholish and just downright wrong at times? Yes (personally, I always reserve my right to be an asshole).

I like them, not despite the above, but specifically *because* of the above. They are willing to be their sometimes emotional, sometimes sentimental, sometimes crude, sometimes kind, sometimes passionate, always imperfect selves. In other words, they share who they are, for better or for worse. And I like that.

Sooooo....I think your user name sucks and you got off to a bad start with some of your first postings. You've shown you have a brain and a spine, two great traits in a potential submissive.

One last piece of advice, when trolling thru the CM message boards, don't forget to bring *the* most important thing: your sense of humor.

Best, Chatte

I wouldn't pick the same moniker again but if it really would have bugged me that much I would have changed it, I never said I hate it, just that in a lifestyle environment it can be seen as pretentious though through accidents of birth I could aim even a bit higher, but I doubt the family would approve about it being used in a BDSM context. I think I explained the moniker before and where it comes from, that I wanted to learn certain stuff and the only way was to be an apprentice to a pro domme, the Lady bit means in BDSM code "Hands off and you aren't going to insert anything into me, not switchable or lickable or fuckable", so I stuck with it. You haven't seen me throw a wobble when somebody called me Constanze or LC, have you?

Now as for you aiming a bit higher, shall we find your princess or goddess for you?

So, I took my other name, Hibiscus, which is my nic on the doll collecting boards.

You do 'doll-collecting'? *Chortle, snurgle, stifled-guffaw* - a femdom who collects dolls?

Lady Hib, femdoms may collect whips, knuckle-dusters, crossbows or guns. But they *do not* collect dolls, for feck's sake. Jesus, you femdoms really need sorting out. For a small charge, I shall help you all with your images.

Take a survey, Darling, you might be VERY surprised!

@ LadyPact: In all honesty I missed his tag line.....so maybe I am like the op and miss things from time to time. If I watched 5 hours of TV a week that would be a lot for me. Perhaps it isn't a matter of organizational skills, but a matter of choices where we spend our minutes. I can only speak or choose for me where I spend my time and energy. Time is my most valuable commodity and once gone can never be gotten back. At an average of two and a half minutes a post you only spend 190 hours a year posting or about four hours a week, Kudos to you on your management and organization skills.

Thank you.  Four hours isn't difficult to manage.  That doesn't count up to much more than getting My eyes open over My caffeine in the mornings.  On the other hand, five hours of tv in a week would put Me in a coma.  I also do it for things like getting My hair done for the day or if My husband is spending time on his own computer.  It all equals out.

How do you write to each other, privately, without cringing?

The 'other side' here between Dominant women works a lot like real life for private conversations.  If you put us all together at the same kink club, I'd probably be sticking with the person's scene name as a precautionary measure.

quote:

Another question: Why is it that there are so many 'Ladies', and so many 'Goddesses' - but almost nothing in between? Where are the 'Countesses', 'Princesses' and 'Queens'? Supposing a sub, like me, thinks that he might be able to do better than a mere 'Lady' but isn't quite good enough for a 'Goddess'? Eh? Eh??

No different than male Dominants, really.  You don't see many Counts, Princes, Kings, or Gods, either.  The ones that do tend to get snickered at.

I confess to outright SNORKING at the "Lords". The "Sirs" too, sometimes.

Cranky bitches, we Princesses.

I tend to snigger at a lot, usually a title that goes along with a certain attitude and then you just think "Awww, dream land or somebody slipped them some really nasty drugs". I put it down to middle age or something, or maybe I'm just a cranky bitch...

Yes, but with a bit of green spray, he could even lurk around ponds and such, wait for the golden ball to fall in and ask the princess to kiss him...

Well, I don't have the benefit of a real time experience and privilege with a Dominant / Mistress, to create a more consistent, less stilted profile. At least not enough time to have had a meaningful real time experience.

So, thank you for your benevolence and open mind. Your words may actually have a positive impact in my trollings and my general contribution to the forums, Lady Chatte.

As far as sense of humour goes, I'm all for a good laugh, and I understand the importance of being able to laugh at one's self.

I have updated my profile with some new stuff, and You are welcome to drop by anytime, or send any message. If  it is in my power to be of  service, feel free to ask.

P.S. I took the liberty to read all of your profile. Not exactly what I am looking for, but educational nonetheless.

1 - People have the right to refuse to acknowledge anyone they want. Anyone with a little self-esteem can accept that.
2 - I Iz master too, I have seen 2600 episodes of Anime.
3 - Of course they do: communication, good; blind obedience, bad.
4 - All I have is a tattered show of a wallet. They can have it.
5 - Believe me, you don't wanna go there!!
6 - Buy a vase, plant some brain cells in it, don't forget to water it, let it grow! And then come back!
7 - It's not a question of submission, it's a question of personality ( or lack of it).
8 - Go to a  mormon dating site.
9 - That one has the words mutiny and Amistad written all over it.

I feel neutral about people's ordinary first names. But certain titles - and I know this sounds silly, but I don't care - I find horny to use. 'Lady' is a horny word to me, for instance. Whereas, er, 'Queen' or 'Goddess' would sound silly except in . . . kind of very special moments - those where she'd be standing over me and I'd be shivering on the floor, for instance.

Possibly the horniest word of all for me is 'Ma'am' (though it doesn't work if the woman doesn't 'take it' properly). Go figure - I'd be the first to admit it makes no sense.
