Pedantism aside....is that even a word???

Anyway, there are quite a few things that make me happy: my kittehs who always greet me when I wake up & when I get home. But I think that they greet me when I get home mostly because they're hoping to dart out the door for an adventure. Cooking & eating what I cook makes me very happy. Talking to my family & friends really makes me happy. Being called pet by His Evilness is a happy feeling. Cleaning my little apartment makes me happy; washing, drying & putting away the laundry. Going for a drive with the windows down on a hot summer day, the wind blowing in my hair & the radio cranked up on the classic rock station. Talking with the kid upstairs.

Music & reading make me happy. Visual arts make me really happy. My bone china makes me incredibly happy, so happy in fact, that I leave that cupboard door open so that I can see it whenever I pass through the kitchen area. Oooooh, & watching the lightnin' bugs. I'm sure there are more, but this is a pretty good start!!

Status: offline 		happy that my daughter and Sir are healthy, happy and doing well, I still have faith in God and the sun hasn't imploded yet.

Sad because it's an illness for me that I fight every single second of every single day.

This is not meant to be a cop out but they are truly to many to name: I am (for the first time in my life) free, I have people in my life who have stood by me through some of the stupidest shit ever, I have two jobs today, I'm continuing to take action to open my own business, I'm sober and sane today, I have people in my life who believe and support and love me today, I am dissolving weight, I am developing a comfortability in my own skin, I am spending much more time positive today than anything else, I'm attracting more things into my life that I've wanted and never dreamed possible.

The times I'm actually sad are far and few between but they are only because it is necessary for me to heal and move on and spend more time being happy.

Status: offline 		I'm happy today, because yesterday I took a test and became an officially CERTIFIED massage therapist, and now I can put the letters "CMT" after my name, along with NCBTMB. So now each side of my brain has a certification, lab stuff for the left side and massage for the right!

And the bucket list became a little bit shorter.....

Status: offline 		happy: I am employed in a job I love, working with people I truly like, and getting paid better than I ever have (in this profession) for the privilege. I have a place to live, I have the Cats to love me and entertain me, and most importantly, I have family and friends that love me despite my numerous failings...

sad: I am not a friggin billionaire so that I can cure the financial ills of my friends and family (or myself, dammit), or be able to contribute $$ to worthy endeavours. Sad because I miss my Dad and Grandparents, who are not here on this plane to see me finally become a (usually) responsible adult.

I am going to see my beloved nieces and nephew, my brother and sister in law for the last time for a while.

They are moving to CA so he can take a new job. My whole family is happy for him since it is an amazing job but these are the only kids in the family, so my parents and I are heartbroken. They cannot believe their grandchildren will be so far away.

I feel like a part of me is leaving.

Damn, greedy. You stole the words right out of my mouth! That's exactly it for me as well. I love going to work where we treat each other with respect, I get to do something I love and be paid very well for doing so. I have Master, three lovely cats, a loving extended family, good transportation, a roof over my head, tons of gadgets, books, movies, music, etc. to keep me entertained and, most days, good health. Other than more money and the looks of Angelina Jolie, what more could I ask for?
