I define my own journey as a switch as being one way sometimes and then sometimes being another way. I often call it D-mode (dominant mode) or s-mode (submissive mode). Because I have the natural tendency to be in D-mode, I notice it less because it is something I am use to being. But, I find it very interesting and often surprising when I go into s-mode. I feel myself sliding into s-mode. I can literally feel myself slowly switching. When this happens, I am aware and alert of my thoughts, behavior, and feelings. I usually stay in s-mode for a period of time and then I come out of it and go back to normal. Has any of you had this kind of experience switching? Do you experience switching differently?

I am sure eveyone views switching differently, but I am interested in hearing about the experience of the switch.

Hmmm... interesting I have felt the same way at times.. I guess just it's certain types of women that make me feel I can give them control from trusting them and normally it's over a long period of time.. Now being single I don't have the urge. But often I do hope to find a woman that I can give that role up to at times. Thought I was being weird but maybe not!!

I have felt like my submissive side kicks in like melting butter.  It's slow, but I kind of just "slide" into it.  It's a warm, comfortable place that just "is"... for one reason or another.  My Dominant side is more my natural state, but letting that "totally in charge" mindset go on the shelf for a bit is a wonderful thing.  It lets me just "feel" rather than having to think so much about the hows and whys and what ifs.

I think it's nice that I can appreciate both sides of the kneel.  [:)]

My experience is somewhat similar, I can slip into a more sub state with the right conditions.
However, I also have the ability to turn sub at will, but I dont seem to get as much out of it
as I do when it occurs as part of a proccess of build-up to release naturally.
Thats just my personal experience,
