I had the realization that i have been taking life way too serious. The moments i laugh come only after having been well thought out. So it surprised me when on Tuesday, without any thought, i forwarded my number to a collarme Dom who had been periodically sending me a "hi" for 6 or 7 months now as he followed my life through my blogs.
Several hours later, I received a phone call from Him and we made plans to meet for lunch on Wednesday. By the end of the conversation it had progressed to a cruise on His Harley with a stop for lunch.
I wasn’t nervous. I had no expectations what so ever. He wasn’t really my type and I viewed our meeting as simply a much-needed break from my otherwise overly serious life. He pulled up on his Harley and greeted me with a nice big hug. I was thankful for His embrace as it allowed me the opportunity to use his shoulder to close my jaw, which had dropped open by the very sight of Him.
We cruised down to San Juan Capistrano, all the time I’m loving the opportunity I had to snuggle against Him from the back of the bike. We made a stop at the Harley shop so He could purchase a specific T-shirt He had wanted. Not finding His size in stock sent the clerk in a million directions trying to locate it. This gave us enough alone time to engage in several nice long lip locks that for the first time in a very long time literally left me weak in the knees. This day could not get any better…but it did.
A stop for lunch gave us our first real opportunity to talk. I babbled…probably not making any sense, as all I was aware of was His piercing dark brown eyes. After lunch I found myself pinned between a tree and Him, with no thought to the fact that we were on the main street…the moment broken only when a girl walked past us saying “PDA, PDA…you guys rock” at which point all three of us couldn’t help but laugh.
We cruised the coast back to my place where we were finally able to discard the “P” and concentrate on the “DA”…amoung other things, breaking my 377 day dry spell. Life is great in my world! and the thought that plans are already in place for our second and third meetings has already got my toes wiggling.
