Senpai is planning to have me pierced in my Perineum so she can attach a small bell or claim tag (depending on circumstances of the day). Personally I like the idea and I am happy to get it done for her. However we are curious if anyone has had this done or knows of someone who has. We would like to know if it causes any problems, what maintence is like, how long it took fro swelling to subside and it to fully heal etc etc. Basically the general experiences of that particular site. So any light you can shed would be wonderful, thanks in advance for the advice =) Taik

Thank you, Taik- i was trying to think of the word "perineum" earlier, and it was escaping me... Sorry i can't help with this- all i have to offer is that my episiotomies healed up amazing quickly compared to cuts i have had other places. Amazingly. So perhaps it's a particularly rugged bit of flesh? becca, who will watch this thread curiously

You are talking about a guiche piercing. BMEZINE has quite a few (about 30 I think, although not all of them in english) right here (click me)

Guiche & Fourchette Piercings go thru tissue which tends to heal rapidly & has an excellent lymphatic support ... but have a tendency to get damaged easily, which may prolong the healing ... it all depends upon hygiene & activity. Healing time also depends upon the length of the piercing tunnel ... even a thin piercing of skin (when pinched up) can demand a long tunnel if it spreads out when not being pinched. It's all in the technique used by the piercing AND what you request (assuming the piercer knows more than one technique). Also ... one has to fit the correct jewelry ... if a flat piercing, then a flat piece of jewelry will not be so easily dislodged. Curved jewelry in flat skin tends to be a constant problem. THAT depends upon your anatomy, the specific site chosen, whether a curved or straight needle is used & if jewelry matches the needle shape. Hope it goes well for you, ADomDoc San Antonio
