I recall there was a thread on the progress, or lack thereof, of the HPV vaccine.

That's very cool - thanks for posting the link!
I was actually thinking about HPV quite a bit the last while. It's shocking to hear that over half of all sexually active people have it. That's sick!

I have known about HPV for years now.

I have very sensitive system and have frequent abnormal paps,
After 3 in a row I had to be tested and have cells scraped off My cervix (they call it "fluffing"...NOT a fun thing).

I encourage all Women to get yearly paps even if your Doc says you dont need it.

Preventing an illness is easier than curing it.

I have had 'abnormal' come back for almost 3 years, its to the point now that if I was not as diligent as I have been and I am not taking the steps I am, I would have cancer right now. I am at the doctor when they tell if not a few days before. It has saved my life.

It just came out in the last few days that they have a vaccine for Cervical Cancer.

Thans for sharing the article on HPV, its scary that most people who have it, don't even know that they have it. Scary.

Scary is right.I'm glad you were diligent and able to get help sooner.
I had a Doc that said My abnormal paps were from the soap I was using.
Needless to say found a new Doc and had the "fluffing" done,everything came back normal.
But at least now I know for sure,and this Doc makes sure we are on top of it all the time.

I have to laugh at your first doctor Mistress Sassy, some people even tho they are health care providers are so off touch sometimes. It's like the time I had a back injury and all the dr said was your fine go home and finally one dr told me exactly what was making me fall and stuff. If I'd listend to the first one I would of never known.

Kinda scary when you think about it.
But...its a good thing I guess...forces US to keep better track of O/ourselves.

Its really important to have a Doc you can talk to,Mine knows all about the D/s stuff... I was wearing an outfit apprpriate for public,she thought I was practicing Witchcraft...lol I told her the truth and she was oh cool..."hey do you know how I get hubby to do the dishes?"

Say how did you make out with the doc today was it today you went?
