Probably, you were trying to be helpful, and, probably it was stemming from your desire to belong, to give.. and, that is beautiful. However, if people don't yet know you, what you may mean as a friendly, helpful gesture can come out sounding like censure and judgment. Obviously, one person was not offended, and, that's wonderful for you; but, the other one was. I don't know what you said to them. I don't know how much of their offense was due to misunderstanding or having a bad day. What I wonder, though, is what steps you took to be kind to the person you had given offense to? Did you write and apologize? Probably that would have been in order; not for the motivation, but, for the offense.

Hello Everyone! I just want to thank Lockit, Marisol, SneakerWorship, OldHen, Dame Bruschetta( For telling me her good honest opinion, Love it, thanks!) Thanks for the information, I'll be more careful with what I say to people in future! Oh yes and you know a phrase like ttyl, thats what pople call cellpone talk. I don't do that even in a text message, I do read what people have to say, if you write letters t.b.c. I've no time for idiotic replies like that, you either write properly to me or not at all. To the people that spoke of me using the term "girl", I'm really sorry if alot of you took me up badly on that! When I had already written it, I then tried to go back to change the girls to say girls/women! But unfortunatly I couldn't! Oh and look I'm 28 not 27, so read my profile correctly before you start making a wrong state ment like that! I had someone years ago say "oh she's so american!" I was born in Ireland, so yes I'm Irish. I don't go running to my Master if I want to say something to someone! The best thing about my self and my Dom's relationship is that he knows I'm not looking for his advice 24/7!!

OP: I do not think others offering their opinions unusual for this site. In the few months I have been on this site I have received quite a few e-mails expressing what on the surface could be construed as constructive criticism. What I found interesting in these e-mails was they all assumed I was new to D/s, included an abundantly wordy bragging or boasting about the writer’s perception and the absolute rightness of it. I wasn’t offended, more I was caused to think how effective the profile was at doing what I designed it to do.

Looks pretty much like the profile of a guy who gives his job, says he's looking for a relationship with a d/s component but has time to wait, and it gives your job - not a lot more about you. To be honest, if you are looking for a meaningful relationship, putting a bit more "bait" out there wouldn't harm, like hobbies and such, a bit of Tennyson at the end doesn't really say much, you could be into Victorian poetry, poetry in general... Now somebody you might get along well with might not like poetry, but you don't give her much else to talk about. So I'm a bit lost in how your profile is effective or what you designed it for - to me it seems a bit bland and not saying all that much about you, or at least not enough to strike up a conversation. Your very right to have said what you did to me thank you! Oh yes and to those who told me about my age on collar me still being 27, I guess I was a little naive thinking it would change every year by itself but the age changes every year on facebook and Myspace! Thanks for the heads up I just changed it! Doh! I never realised!. Anyway I think that ends this convo as entertaining as it was and all, ha!
