Money can buy silence and protection from prosecution. One of the reasons why I just finished my degree for Pedagogics and Psychology without ever wanting to work in the field was an internship where I worked with sexually abused children, apart from being very challenging and exhausting (I was a shivering mess at the end of the 3 months internship) it was an eye opener, it really goes through all levels of society. A gated community is not going to help against friends, family or neighbours molesting your child, in very rare cases it's a stranger.
