Why did she or they burn her passport? I guess someone thought they'd never want to leave but later discovered otherwise?

My exhusband ripped his passport to Hong Kong up soon after we got married. Some people simply don't think they will EVER return.

I didn't relize they did a census for Goreans or any other alternative lifestyle.

I get folks who think I'm like my negative female dom characters -- which to a degree is both flattering (I must write well) and insulting (you couldn't tell she's evil?).

The Guardian covered this story too, with the headline "Gor Blimey!" (probably only funny to British readers). But their census of Goreans indicates that there are 25,000 in the UK alone:

I read the article in the Daily Express, and it was appauling. Really closed-minded and scathing. some of the lexical choices were very manipulative- my mother turned round and told me she thought the Master had "evil eyes". What on earth.

This has been covered twice in the daily mail this week, without going and digging it out of the back of the car, I think that they referenced 25000 goreans within the UK.

As for ripping up a passport, its almost the first thing a lot of people do as soon as they arrive, no passport = no place to deport to once your visa expires. Without US style fingerprinting of everyone at the airport and matched to the passport its impossible to prove who someone is or where they came from.

Gor is FANTASY and badly written books, sorry to spoil everyone's fun. I tried reading one and I was so bothered by the
bad writing, sorry Mr. Norman that I had to stop for the sake of my sanity.

They burned her passport, well, that doesn't sound like she can leave anytime she wants, now does it?!

I have been following this story. Seems to me "Much to do about nothing". This group is a quiaz Gor group they based themselves on a group of Pirates that were mentioned in the books but have little details. From what I have read no criminal charges are pending it was all consenual adults, the press is just trying to sell papers.

I have to agree with you on the books and I think the *Natural Order* of things is a bunch of bullshit.

Perhaps she burned her passport because she wanted to, perhaps she was *encouraged* too. Either way it was stupid on her part and it sounds rather cult like to me.

I would be in the "not all are Goreans" category. There is indeed a natural order. If one cares not for that phrase, perhaps "animal default" would suffice.
