If we focus in on some dates I can check if I can wangle any deals in Vegas. If the room cost is cheap enough it could push others in that direction. Those Feb. dates arent Presidents day weekend are they?

If I recall correctly, the Stratosphere is usually fairly inexpensive.

And uninhabitable lol. If I cant get a deal then the Trop is still pretty cheap and newly remodeled.

Really? I was there last year. I cannot say that I have really checked since then.

I'm only on post # 35 so this might have been suggested already, but what about Chicago?

I thought about Chicago, and it almost made my initial list.  It's Obama's home, ya know ... [:)]

I'm willing to consider it, if there is enough support.

I'll eventually start a poll on the issue, but am just looking for feedback such as yours for the moment.

How about Key West in October for Fantasy Fest?

Considering we have a kinky crowd here.

There are an enormous number of bars, clubs, and restaurants and the nice thing is you have inexspensive but nice hotels within walking distance of it all.

Plus you have the beach and all kinds of other attractions like parasailing, jet skiing, charter fishing, etc..

slvemike4u -> RE: CollarChat P&R Summit? (8/8/2011 4:48:42 PM)

That doesn't sound bad RML.

It has been years since Ive been there, so maybe its changed, but it was dark and filthy then. And Bob Stupak is tighter with a dollar than __________________ (fill in your favorite joke). :)

I think if there were an accident on the coaster he'd add trampolines at the base of the building and charge extra for the possiblity of a real e-ticket ride! (after you sign a waiver of course!)

TheHeretic -> RE: CollarChat P&R Summit? (8/8/2011 6:02:55 PM)

If the decision goes to Vegas, I could commit for the proposed Feb. dates.

Make that a committment for two, even if the wife thinks all us down here in the cellar are weird.

Bump!

FirmhandKY -> RE: CollarChat P&R Summit? (8/26/2011 7:19:31 PM)

Thanks, hlen.

Right now, for planning purposes:

Vegas, the weekend of February  17, 18, and 19 (Friday through Sunday).

We'll look at hotels and such for that date/time.

If anyone would like to see certain events, please let me know via PM.

I suspect that I'll keep the exact hotel on the QT, and only provide it privately to people who think they will be able to attend, until after the event.

You're welcome! I'm saving my pennies.....

ETA: Isn't that glass bridge over the Grand Canyon within LV distance??

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: CollarChat P&R Summit? (8/27/2011 8:20:09 AM)

What about those of us who aren't the most politically knowledgeable but would still like to attend just to listen to the debates and contribute now and again? Are we welcome, I'd love to attend.

MusicalBoredom -> RE: CollarChat P&R Summit? (8/27/2011 9:02:01 AM)

As of this moment (I'm not always in control on my schedule due to clients), I'd love to discuss face to face in LV in Feb.  So count me in.

Noooo, you should behave like a lady with a cute tushie....

I'm kicking this one around as well.

Anyone can attend, even if you are staying elsewhere.

I'll work out some of the "security details", but at the least getting the location and event times will need an "off" CM email address, and you'll have to either be a forum poster, or vouched for by a poster on the forums.

Basically, any of the regulars who would like to show up for any or all of it just needs to privately email me and I'll get them in the info.  If I don't know you, or you don't have a history on the forums, we can discuss it.

I may just start a "members only" website for detailed discussions about the event, with logons for approved people.

That's my thinking for right now.

Nice! Mebbe next time: too bad the topic is P&R, especially since now I know some of the nutters are packing heat, and not in a good way!

popeye1250 -> RE: CollarChat P&R Summit? (8/27/2011 10:20:07 AM)

Hmm, that might be interesting.
Tennessee, Kentucky?

I think if I act like "a lady with a cute tushie" that I would just make the lot run for their lives.

Well no, some of us would stick around to watch the ensuing fun. [8D]

You can make a group on FetLife thats accessible by invite only, and the arrangements could be discussed openly by all those who you deem appropriate within that context

https://fetlife.com/groups/new

I think theres a similar feature on Yahoo as well
