seriously, what the fuck do you want us to do? i'll canvas the neighbours, but i seriously doubt we'll get enough hoses to reach.

so the cops shot some fucker, and now the people are rioting. good! about time! burn the place to the ground. a little chaos and anarchy is good for the body politic. and its good for the soul. stop whining about it, here's your chance to do something worthwhile. do your bit, pick up some bricks and a gallon or two of gas and join in.

No hooliganism. The police shot an unarmed man in a taxi, and a peaceful protest was hijacked by looters.

My old flatmate says he can see flames now.

gosh,

there is no reason for what is happening now aside from mindless subhuman... something.
no idea where you are hlh, but when your walls are nice and toasty from the fires from the 'choas and anarchy', you might appreciate a little local canvasing of your own.
I'll keep my hose to myself

you can burn.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:12:34 PM)

meh, let it burn down. sorry, but riots and anarchy are a sign of a healthy democratic society. every once in a while you have to remind the governing class that they only exist by virtue of our fucking apathy. i'm an anarchist, this sort of thing is my stock and trade.

vive la jacquerie.

popularDemand -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:17:18 PM)

this isn't anarchy, it's stupidity
Your stock is high at present

HannahLynHeather -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:23:57 PM)

you're entitled to your opinion, and given your lack of knowledge of anarchism, i will treat it with all the respect with which it is due. fuck all.

you see them as stupid drunken idiots, i see them as brave people fighting against a wrong the only way that is available to them.

like i said, vive la jacquerie! a mort les aristos.

Actually the people who are looting are just chancers, possibly don't give a damn about what happened and their only interest is looting and destroying.

The ones who tried to have a protest are a different thing, though from everything that seems to be known, a bunch of assholes used the protest as a camouflage to destroy and steal - dunno how you would feel if somebody would burn down the building you live in because they feel like it, or loot the shop of somebody because they want to help themselves to some free booze and goods. I seriously doubt that the looters and arsonists have political reasons apart from wanting a bit of violence and robbery.

Bunch of innocent people are losing their houses and are getting injured, think about it, how would you feel if one of your friends would live in the area?

Fighting by burning people's homes? By destroying the least affluent parts of the city? By nicking anything that's not nailed down?

If there were any fight, any point, any logic or reason at all to this, they would be destroying the Square Mile or Westminster or somewhere that the government might actually give a shit about. To oppose a system by rioting, you have to actually become a Problem for that system. These riots are merely an inconvenience to those in power.

Shitting on your own doorstep is not anarchy, it is stupidity.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:44:21 PM)

you use the tools you're given. angry people are a tool. and how the fuck would you know who is involved? are they resting up at your farm? have you been in touch with any of the rioters?

i didn't think so, look i think you're a swell babe and i really like you, but your a fucking toff, you're a snob and you have absolutely fuck all understanding of the people out on those streets. you don't know who they are, how they live, what their hopes or dreams or disappointments are. you have no clue why they are doing what they are doing, or who is behind the violence or why.

i do.

hardcybermaster -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:45:37 PM)

a mort les aristos
working class people are having their houses and businesses burned to the ground. well done for knowing some french, congratulations.
This isn't about aristocrats or rich people, it's about fucking idiots who think they can take stuff that's not theirs.
fuckin anarchist eh? bollocks! have a little respect for the people who's lives have been turned upside down by the actions of some stupid kids, they are not anarchists, they are chancers

HannahLynHeather -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:47:38 PM)

well creepy, you're not as smart as i thought you were. you use what is available. you go where the fucking anger is. this isn't like last june when it could be planned, this is a spontaneous thing.

popularDemand -> RE: roiting in croydon and penge (8/8/2011 4:47:58 PM)

so do I.

Im on the same estate some of them popped around the corner from to go loot battersea.
