Missokyst -> ...and speaking of being maso (8/11/2011 10:08:44 PM)

I have been a bit of a hermit lately, having given a more serious nod to my agorophobia. And that means no play at all. Whew. It is not making my maso side very content and I find I have gotten clumsy as a result. I crashed into a door and wall that was blocked more than half way, while carrying a computer out to a client that was waiting. My body took the brunt of the hit because I didn't want to mar a computer. I have bruises on both arms, one on the inside, the other on the outside. Only I think the right arm (outside) may have a hairline fracture. I will have to have that checked out tomorrow I guess. Right now it looks like an angle is trying to explode from my forearm, and it burns a bit when I move it.
But I digress.
The maso in me demands attention. I find if I don't have a partner, or want one like right now, that my body will find a way to seek out pain.
I am a freak, I know. But I am sure other maso's out there might relate. So, do you find if you aren't getting your needs met that you are more prone to accidents?

Curiously

I absolutely relate to this. I am not even what i would call masochistic really but some regular pain helps me. When i dont have it, yes i fall down stairs, trip over curbs, walk into trees.

No. But from time to time i have been accused of seeking out emotional abuse.

not a maso

just a huge klutz, constantly hurting myself by accident because I'm a leftie who can't seem to coordinate herself.

I've heard of masos though who seek out pain in other ways. Can't say I can relate but it doesn't seem to be uncommon among masochists.

SailingBum -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/11/2011 11:11:46 PM)

So lemmme get this straight... you theorize that since you dont have anyone to swat you around ... You walk into walls and shit??? If your really into self destruction at least do it with some panache. Take up a street drug....or since your not one to leave the house... stock up on your beverage of choice and drink yourself into ...

Your post brings to mind the adage. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing

I'm not familiar with this, nor can I relate. If I'm in need of pain I just grab clovers and clothespins and get ready for an hour of self play.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 5:50:40 AM)

maybe you're having more accidents because you aren't fully paying attention? you're distracted by the maso want?

sometimes i'm a little klutzy because my brain is just doing 2 or 3 things at once. =p sometimes walking safely is the least important one. haha

whiteslavebitch -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 7:20:37 AM)

Yes, absolutely, but I never made the connection before. I'm glad you made this post, I learned something new about myself.

Missokyst -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 7:40:00 AM)

Hmm... could be. I am usually doing two or three things at once.

*yawn*
Sorry, I leave drugs to people that want to dull things. No drugs, no smoke, and so little drinking in my life that I am still half into a bottle of vodka after 2 yrs.
Some people are just maso. Not the acceptable sensual stuff but the kind that masochism was named for. I don't see it as a big deal. And really don't give a rip about the opinion of those that might.
<g> insult.. off the mark and harmless.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 9:11:40 AM)

There's cutting. I am not a cutter, but I think it's a good, controlled way of self-harm. And blood, yay blood!

~~NOT dissing actual cutters, so please, take what I said as it was intended, as a way to get your maso fix.

caelestis -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 9:38:39 AM)

I don't think I subconsciously seek out pain when I've not had any for a long time (and I do miss it, a lot) but I think that when I do get hurt during these dry spots, I appreciate the pain more.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 9:38:47 AM)

TENS machine?

I got one yesterday. I am starting to seriously suspect that I will never ask anyone to hit me again.

What took you so long?

I didn't get it for kink purposes - I got it for back pain.

In all honesty I hadn't bothered because I was expecting it to be a bit lame. I was NOT expecting that level of zing for my zap! [:D]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 9:45:32 AM)

There's another electro device with even higher settings!

LadyConstanze -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 9:46:06 AM)

I tend to abuse mine on occasion for back pain [;)] If you want more zap, use a water based deep heat lube, that's going to be one hell of a ZING

Missokyst -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 9:46:27 AM)

yeah! I forgot about the tens! I will try that.

On other news, yes the arm has a hairline fracture that will heal on its own if I am careful. I really hit that corner of the door hard and with one of those huge heavy computers to add to the pressure.

Today I will disassemble the desk that is blocking that doorway.

I DON'T NEED HIGHER SETTINGS.

Seriously - on the vibrate setting I could only cope with a level 2(/8). Three had me flailing around. And I am not a wuss!

Missokyst, I hope your arm heals well. [:)]

And use a tens! They are snazzy!

LadyConstanze -> RE: ...and speaking of being maso (8/12/2011 10:17:40 AM)

Doesn't have much to do with being a wuzz, just a different sensation, actually the vibrating setting I can pull up to the max and it feels nice... But then I had a few shocks from trying to repair stuff when I was a kid (or just sticking combs into sockets or chewing wires) and a few friends who studied electronics said they are so used to getting shocked, they don't actually feel it anymore.
