Personally, HannahLynHeather's definition for "bottom" really doesn't work for me, I think her definition of "sub" is as close as anyone can get, and while I instinctively agree with her definition of slavery, it's a definition that is ferociously challenged by other people on the board. - But that's perfectly ok, I don't think there are truly fixed definitions for any of those terms so the best advice to the OP really is to take a look at some of the debates, and come to her own conclusion.

Sorry that you feel that way. But your question was probably viewed as either "stupid", "lazy", or both.

I've observed that people don't get a very good reception when they ask questions that could easily be answered by doing a quick Google search, or by going to Wikipedia. Coming on here and asking for definitions of words makes it seem as though you're not willing to do even the smallest amount of research on your own.

Similarly, those types of basic questions have been asked 7 billion times here on CM. So if you did a search here on the forums as well, you'd likely find 50 threads about the exact same question. Or better yet, you might find your answer in a FAQ section.

This may be the first time that you've asked such a question on here, but questions like yours are posted almost daily here on CollarMe. People routinely post questions like "What's a 'Domme'?", or "What does 'BDSM' stand for", or "Can someone tell me the difference between a whip and a flogger?" It would be just as easy to type your question on Google and get the answer yourself rather than to post it here and wait for us to spoon feed you the information. Frankly, that stinks of laziness.

I think you would have found that people would have given you a very different response if you had shown that you had done a little research on your own. People generally give very good responses to questions that require insight from those with experience, rather than questions that can be answered by simply opening a dictionary.
