Arango has since put in his resignation and has decided to step down. It seems that with each passing year, as Republican congressmen grow stronger on their stance against equality for the LGBT community, more and more of them get caught with their pants down, literally. The bigger issue is that when their pants are down, they are with other men; life, sometimes, is just ironic. He has resigned as he should have.

It was a Republican-lead NYS Legislature which corrected the ambiguity in the Domestic Relations Law, now explicitly legalizing SSM... There are some who aren't Crazy Religious Extremists, More in NY then other places. The challenge to them is to figure out a way to get rid of the Crazy Religious Extremists who had been providing them with votes... ( and screwing up the primaries... See NY-23... )

Thank you for actually making a distinction between the religious nutties and the rest of the political right. The best way to keep them from scewing up the primaries is to drown them out. Open the primary up to eveyone. Or, you can pull the Democrat special, lie to the base then do whatever you want once elected. Only problem is the thumpers have a good nose for sniffing out the true believers....I say drown em out, make them an irrelevant part of the primaries. Then no one will campaign to them.
