O great they've run away again.  Well, I'm not chasing them this time.  They can come home when they're damn well good and ready.

Procrastination is sometimes caused by a need for perfection.  "I'll get to that just as soon as I can make it perfect."  My favorite: "I'm thinking about the solution in the back of my head and will get started as soon as I understand it completely."

In my instance, procrastination is given best by the following example:  "Oh, I'll wash the dinner dishes just as soon as I answer my e-mails."  Needless to say, both sinks are piled high and there's not a clean fork (or spoon) to be found.

-------------------
ETA:  Er..... wait.... no,..... well, yes, that post IS perfect. Maybe not.... I'll get back to you on that.

It's true! It's funny to think that we can turn into slobs because we can't do things perfectly, so we don't do them at all. I've had that issue my entire life. (it's much better here with HM though...he keeps me motivated!) *lol*

Well, I guess that "tears" it for you and I ever having a live-together relationship.

ETA: Maybe not.  I'll say to you (using my best Domly voice) "Seven, get that kitchen in order."  That will take care of the dirty dish problem, y'think? LOL!

ETA: Cooked lunch today, and there are now "dirties" on the floor.  YIKES!  I need to be on the "I admit" string with that "gem."

Not...so...fast Mr. Hughes. Never underestimate the power of that Domly voice lol. You should be aware that it might result in leaving me a puddle of girlgoo which you would have to mop up.

What are your dirty dishes doing on the floor - or are you perhaps the one with the sink full of dishes hmmmmm?

Iss OK Zeph, I have a sink full of dishes too.  O they'll get done eventually, just not right now.

The lunch dishes are on the floor since the TWO sinks were already full... get it?

Now as to that Domly voice: "Girl, I want you to make this kitchen shine.  I've trained you as to where everything is to be placed.  And stop that back-talk about girlygoo.  If I want a puddle of girlygoo on the floor, I'll tell you to be just that....."

// Lance says, "Aww, shit!  There she goes again."  Gets out mop. //

And then we have the addictive nature of good old CM.  Somebody asked me my user name at FetLife.  I laughed and laughed.  Finally wiped the tears from my eyes and said, "Yeah, that's exactly what I need.  Two BDSM social sites."

I'd respond here but I have to think about it for a time. Sometime this year though, for sure, almost. Oh and dishes, I got plenty of them. Right there in the sink. I have some clothes in the dryer too, I think. I'll find out sooner or later.

My dishes are still sitting in the sink, but the only thing I've added are pop cans that need to be rinsed before recycling.  After my little "adventure" of running out of gas on a major hwy yesterdsy, I'm still trying to come down from the panic that incited.  I found out walking along said hwy with fully loaded 18 wheelers going by at 70 mph is NOT conducive to anxious-free moments.

Need to call the cops to report my ex's stealing/using my cards, but keep putting it off due to the drama I so want to avoid.
Maybe later...

I was just "given" a GREAT! GREAT! reason to procrastinate LOTS of stuff.  I have a water leak in the main supply, but can use my bathroom sink (cold only.)  Old, old plumbing is weird.  In the basement, can't even "follow" it.

Actually, didn't "just" happen, I've been meaning to get back here and tell you. LOL!
