Yep I would say you hit the nail on the head there Lafayette Lady. There is a reason that you don't add your students to facebook. He accepted that there are morality codes to his profession. He needs to accept the consequences of not living up to those codes now.

He admits to communicating with his students via text and social networking sites. Even worse, he created a pseudonym to do it because he knew it was against school policy. I don't know of any schools that don't have teacher emails so his excuse of using it to collect pictures from a trip is a load of crap.

Face it, the guy behaved inappropriately with the messaging. My private life is not publicly displayed in a porn film. The minute one posts about their activities on the internet, they no longer get to state that activity is part of their "private" life.

I see it the same...I was also a bit shocked when in 2005 a social worker got suspended from working for five years from the general social care council, as it has been found out that she worked as an escort in her private time next to it...

Does it say that it was his facebook?

If he was posting porn on his facebook regardless of whether or not he was in it I would have expected him to be fired.
