When building your dungeon, The Dungeon Artificer can supply everything to ensure you are completely outfitted. The Dungeon Artificer frequently designs custom pieces (some pieces are not on the website [http://thedungeonartificer.com] at this time) and The Dungeon Artificer can draw designs for your special ideas that you want to have built for your dungeon. For organizational purposes, The Dungeon Artificer (TDA) breaks down dungeon design into four categories: furniture, custom designs, leather and toys, and your dungeon space.

TDA Furniture Overview

TDA furniture products are crafted from solid wood. Many of the main beams and support beams are rough 6x6 or 4x6 beams (planning, sanding, and finishing reduces the size slightly). Where pieces are joined together to form larger beams, TDA use the highest grade laminating glue and internal bolts and/or lag screws which are hidden under dowels to prevent separation of the timbers. Most joints are affixed with ½” steel carriage bolts with counter-sunk washers and nuts (to prevent any catch hazards). Other smaller joints may use ¼” steel hex bolts or carriage bolts. The TDA overall design is based on handling maximum loads well beyond any reasonable usage (i.e. the Titan suspension frame can support 1,500 pounds internally suspended and the Dictator bondage bench supports over 2,000 pounds of static weight).
The hardware TDA uses most commonly are: small 1” steel surface mounted d-rings; 1.5” metal inset d-rings; medium 2” surface mounted d-rings, mini 2” anchors; 1,500 pound capacity steel winches; and other metal or steel hardware as required for customized pieces. The Dungeon Artificer’s furniture also has a very “dungeon” appearance and feel. TDA also takes the time when finishing: sanding (with progressively finer grits), pre-treating the wood prior to staining, using quality stains, and applying 3 to 5 coats of high-gloss polyurethane (sanding with 500 grit or higher between coats for the smoothest finish).
The end result is a superior finish and look that maintains a powerful and dominating appearance of any dungeon atmosphere.
As the Dungeon Artificer [http://thedungeonartificer.com] website currently indicates, TDA crafts a wide variety of the essential dungeon furniture pieces (i.e. beds, benches, cages, chairs, cubes, pillories and stocks, suspension frames, tables, thrones, and wheels). TDA can also custom build furniture pieces upon request. TDA crafted every piece in the website portfolio to meet the individual specifications of the client.
Custom Options and Design Services

Though The Dungeon Artificer has a very diverse and solid line of furniture and leather products, TDA often crafts custom work to meet exacting or unique demands. If there is a specific piece you would like to have, and it is not currently on our website, feel free to ask Master Hraefn ([email protected]) to design a similar product and create a customized quote for you. Additionally, because of Master Hraefn’s experience in the lifestyle and as a builder, Master Hraefn and TDA are also capable of taking a space and designing a dungeon to fit specific (pre-determined) needs and requirements. When TDA does this, they often design customized pieces to fit the physical space limitations and match the pieces to the needs of the end user(s).

Leather and Toys Overview

The Dungeon Artificer manufacturers the Rawbourne Leather series- that is always expanding to meet new needs and cover growing demands. Rawbourne Leather products are crafted from 5.5oz black, oil tanner leather (this leather has a smooth finish) and then fitted with zinc or nickel plated steel hardware. TDA uses metal rivets and a heavy-duty press setter to set the rivets firmly into place. The TDA standard pieces include: wrist restraints, ankle restraints, thigh restraints, several collar options (including posture collars), upper arm restraints, simple buckling straps (up to 7-8’ long), leashes and leads, 3-way restraints, 4-way restraints, and the unique “O” Series of bondage restraints. The brand new leather options include sets of fleece lined restraints and collars. Tools and toys include: whips, paddles, blindfolds, spreader bars, CBT devices, and custom designs. Your Dungeon

You have extensive freedom with a home dungeon design. There are several approaches you can take when you are designing a public dungeon for rent or lease. Below are the approaches you can consider or you can use as a platform to build from. If you already have an idea of how you want the rooms furnished this may not be required.
Option 1: Each of the rooms are almost identically furnished with small variances in each one. These variances could be bed sizes, style of throne, cage sizes, color options, and things of that nature. This allows users to have nearly immediate access to the most common furniture pieces.
Option 2: Each room has a very distinctly different purpose. This does restrict the users from being able to have a basic set of furniture pieces available at all times; however, it does offer highly specialized rooms. As each person is different they will gravitate towards what they prefer to use.
Option 3: A blend of Option 1 and Option 2. This requires more physical space as you will have a central theme or dominating pieces with several peripheral pieces available in the same room to accommodate more standardized needs.
A note on building times… TDA does have some pieces in stock at various times. However, when you are talking about several custom pieces and a larger order most of the pieces will be carefully built to your unique specifications. Depending on the size and complexity of your needs, building could take up to 12 weeks to complete the entire order.
Throughout the several steps of the order, TDA sends images and sometimes video to give you updates on the progress of your investment.
If you are unsure of exactly what you would like or need, please feel free to contact The Dungeon Artificer to discuss your needs and TDA can draft you custom designs and custom quotes- Taking into account your budget, space and functionality needs.

The Dungeon Artificer looks forward to speaking with you and building for you.
