I looked a couple pages back and couldn't find it, so I'm starting this month's....

I met a very nice submissive man, and we've done a lot of talking and such and getting to know each other. So far so good. He's very polite and service-oriented, appears 'nilla around my family and so on, lol, and we are getting along quite nicely so far. So in my poly family now there is Daddy, myself, my poly sister, and my new submissive. All is working well so far. No glitches yet anyway.

Also, I've purchased my first strap-on harness and "attachment" as they called it. "Attachment." haha I'm excited to get the package in the mail, as I've never used one before. I also got a book, "The Ultimate Guide to Strap-On Sex."

I'm getting ready for a potluck picnic for pervs next weekend that I've organized. Probably the last one of the year in this area before the fall weather sets in.

Daddy/my Dom and I have now completely moved in together in the same apartment, so that's all done. It was a month or so in the doing, moving little by little rather than doing it all at once in a weekend. It was much easier that way.

All in all, I'd say I'm doing very well.

Yes.  September.  The leaves have already turned here.  Of course, I'm a bit farther north than most folks these days.  I haven't quite wrapped My head around the long winter that will come.  We'll see how that goes.

In the meantime, I am quite happy and content.  Not one, but two boys have turned My head.  If I should capture both of them, I will be a lucky woman, indeed.

Very soon, I will be spending less time here.  Instead, I started up a group on the "other" site.  I feel it will be more productive.

Hisprettybaby, there are some videos you might like, "Bend over boyfriend 1 & 2". Carol Queen did them awhile back.

September? Which means summer went by way too fast! Forgin ahead, fighting the good fight, all that. Wishing for a do-over.

Hello ladies!

Life is good in the Land of the Morning Calm! The biggest thing for me has been my eye surgery - it affected me quite a lot.  I did finish a few books on tape when I was all but blind.  First one was The Art of War - full of lists in case you care.  Ha!  I made the decision a few months ago to stay in Korea, so I've been making my apartment a home now.  Plants, cooking, furniture are now a part of my life... things are not so "on hold" as they have been.  I've been able to get back on my bicycle a bit - at dusk, so I'm happy about that.  School started - now the REAL work has begun!

I'm putting together talks for a couple of international conferences I'll be speaking at in the next few months.  I've been asked to speak here in Korea about something of a personal nature - I'll be doing that in a few weeks.  One major project that I was working on all summer has been completed - or at least my portion has been!  YAY!  I had taken on this thing I'd never done before, and can't believe how well it turned out.  I had a great partner who held my hand when it needed holding and pushed me out of the nest when it was time.  What a great experience!

I'm looking forward to a couple of pieces that will be published next month in books.  YAY!  And a publisher has asked me to write a book - actually two books about the same thing just from different perspectives.  I'm considering it.... 'cause you know I'm so BORED right now.  ahem.

I went to a munch - that was fun!  I'm flirting like mad these days, and enjoying it with no expectations.  I've let go of any hope of finding "lurve" in my life, but have instead focused on being at peace.  I'm happier because of it.  I've come to realize how much the people who know me love me... and of course the people who don't love me - meh.  I've been letting go a lot of expectations of others.  Maybe I'm becoming a Buddhist?  Who knows!

best,
sunshine

Cabin boy and I just returned from several hedonistic days aboard FA in the San Simeon anchorage. The weather was glorious, the passage-making easy, we picked up a pet pelican who hitched a ride with us for hours and finally left when I tried to hand-feed him a giant prawn. The anchorage was a bit rolly from the leftover hurricane swell but that made for a spectacular show from the blowholes day and night. I showed cabin boy how certain yoga poses would turn that movement into great back massages and he quit complaining about it.

Though a bit washed out by the half-moon, the stars were still vivid above the rigging and looked close enough to touch. Watching the astrals shine on the phosphorescent water never ceases to amaze; we stared at it for an hour from the cockpit before finally going to bed. As usual we ate great stuff, slept well and pondered how good life is in the shadow of the castle. As usual, I got all the foot rubs I wanted. As usual, we marveled at how it's possible to encapsulate all that is important to us for days or weeks on end into a 50 ft. cork bobbing on the ocean. I felt whole sailing up, somehow I felt even more whole making home-port today.

Though not officially fall Sept. starts the good sailing and contra season. I look forward to traveling to upcoming dances in Santa Barbara and Monterey, as well as at least one more voyage to the cove before the holidays. I can't believe how fast this year is flying by.

Life is good!

Hmmm... where to start... Labor Day weekend was all Ren Fairs all the time... Pa, MD, and then MD again.

and this month brings more job hunting for darling dear boi, a rush to the vet this morning with my old dear boy cat -- who seems to be hanging in but I don't think it will be for long. That's breaking my heart.

I'm doing piercing for an exploratorium this month, going away for a weekend retreat with the boi's leather club and judging a contest at the end of the month - good leather things for this month.

I'm not sure where summer went!
We are 5 weeks post move, and have a path through the garage. We're bringing things in slowly, as we jumped right back into our social life. The goal is to be able to park both cars inside by end Oct. We CAN do this!!

"Da Forest Dog" is doing great. We feel blessed each and every day we have with him. He's happy and energetic, and is getting around famously. His skin and coat are a mess, but I think that was aggravated by the anesthesia x 2. Lab reports came back Synovial Cell Sarcoma....not as prolific as Osteo, so we'll just see how it goes. We are doing a long list of supplements, which I won't bore you with. :) I have hope his winter coat will come in healthy and rich!

We went to our first MaST meeting a few weeks ago. Friends have started a new chapter in Fort Collins, and it was really great. Concentrating on relationship dynamics, it was fun to break into Masters/Doms/Tops and slaves/subs/bottoms to discuss among like-minded folks. Then come back together and discuss as a large group. We are excited to be participating and would encourage others to do so in their area if the opportunity arises.

We're also helping some friends create the Colorado High Protocol Dining Society. Denver has had a traditional HP group for years, but one of the members wants to teach to a larger audience. We're taking the traditional MaleDom/femsub (Gorean) experience, and breaking it down into Key Tenets. We're writing up a structure, that can then be utilized by other dynamics. It's a really fun project. Our friend is the visionary....Otter and I are the detail-oriented, organizational development contribution. There will be membership requirements as individuals and host houses. Several classes are scheduled on a variety of topics. Otter taught a cooking class, and Shado is giving several talks on planning and execution. Since Shado and I come at this from similar, but distinctly different perspectives, the negotiated discussions around verbiage has been very entertaining! If you have something like this in your area, I'd love to hear more!

On the career front, ot's looking like I might get a promotion....will know at the end of the month. Either way, I'm good. It wasn't something I was seeking, but if all falls into place, I'll enjoy it.

On the sadder side, I found out my mom has Stage IV lung cancer. Unexpected to say the least. She is in FL, so mostly I'll be long-distance support. My brother is local, and mom doesn't heed much, if any advice I might offer. It is her journey, so I'll be heading that way a few times in the next few months to help as things progress.

Life here in beautiful Colorado still has a lot more sunshine and happiness that clouds. Every day is a blessing and a time to overcome challenges....life is GRAND!

Is it September already? Eeek!

I started homeschooling my kindergartner a couple of weeks ago and it's effectively eliminated all the time I was devoting to social networks. I'm a complete internet junkie (f-ing digital crack!), so I've been limiting myself to one visit to one site for no more than one hour per week. In other news, hubby's been laid off again. Grr. He'll get unemployment and has an interview with a headhunter this week so we're not too worried. However, I've managed to do more writing in the past 5 days than I have in 5 months. *sigh* Yet more proof I need to win Powerball.

If I don't manage to check in again before the end of the month, I hope everyone has a wonderful September.

Terribly sorry for your loss. Love for our animals is pure and unadulterated by human language or guile. To me, that makes them so much harder to lose than people.
