Like most domme's (I'm sure) I've had quite a number of submissives approach me seeking online play. These are submissives that are both interstate and overseas. I tend to turn them down because most of the play I have enjoyed in the past has been in meat space (or real life). I've become curious though of late. To those who partisipate in online play, what are some of the benefits that you can see? Also, how deep can it get? I tend to think most is watchign someone play with themselves on webcam. Have you ever got into someones head this way? Or had someone in yours? Was this more than a physically gratifying experience? Thank you very much for your well considered responces. [:D]

I have been a keyholder before for someone online. There was no watching someone play with himself. To be honest it did nothing for me other than return a favor to someone that wanted him watched for a few days. I know some people can get a physically charge from online play, but I personally don't understand how. As for getting inside someones head. Well that takes years and a lot of deep understanding of the other person. So I'm not sure how that could happen online with stable people either. Sorry I'm not more help.

My former Master and I used to talk online alot before we were able to change our living situation to full time live in.We didn't play perse or do cam stuff or anything but what I thought was just chatting was really him getting deep into my head; he was molding me almost from the start. Mentally and emotionally I was getting a lot out of our discussions. He did give me tasks to do at that point, silly little things, but they always served to make me feel more submissive to him as well as making me feel as if he were with me even when he wasn't. By the time we had a full time situation I was already well on my way to being enslaved and becoming what he wanted me to be. It seemed to flow quite nicely, organically. Funny because I was initially pretty head strong (wanting to be submissive BUT) and thought that there would be many punishments before I could get things through my thick little head and do what I really wanted to do, ultimately, it took none of that. It really blew my mind how he did that all by talking with me online and on the phone. Not sure if this is what you were looking for in an answer but thought I'd give it a shot since you were asking about depths and such. ~freedom

I did some online at first, before I moved into RL. It was good for testing the waters to see whether this fit me or now, and some of the women I played with were new as well. No camming, though. When I've talked with someone long distance who's contemplating moving here, I played online with her to see how she responded to me taking control. ("Play" as used here also includes assessing her situation and directing her to make changes in her living situation - bedtimes, etc.) In one case, the woman couldn't bring herself to follow my direction, which led to an honest discussion that made us realize it wouldn't work. I've assumed that by "online", you include telephone.

when I first decided to try bdsm, I was terrified of doing it in real life. So I started with an online Dom which lasted a couple of months. It was great in that it made me realise I did enjoy serving and got a real kick out of hearing 'good girl'. But after a while it became almost a pale imitation of what I imagined was the real thing. Ten years on, I was right [:D] But at the time it was a nice, safe, risk-free introduction to this wonderful life I have now.
