And strikes do what?  Delay (today) the inevitable...which is to provide a bump for loss of wages during the strike. (Which if you study the stats, almost never makes up for the loss of wages during same, and statistically, proves a loss).

Do the research.  If strikers simply accepted the deal originally offered, they'd be (historically....over the last 45 years) up....0.075% annually (which works out to, against loss of wages, against every day they sat out with their 55 gallon drum burn barrels extolling how they'd "won") up nearly 118% where they'd be today).

This isn't an "us vs. them" issue, or a Republican vs, Democrats issue.  Statistically, had unions accepted the first offer (or any agreement), they'd be ahead,  Their families would be ahead.  Business......would be ahead (which is who's paying your bills).

Financially.  Pocket book stuff...pay your mortgage, rent kind of stuff.

Unions were great when the world was a different place....businesses "putting them down"...but it ain't that way anymore.

Businesses want to sell "stuff".  They've always wanted to sell stuff.  The more stuff they sell...the better off everyone is.

If unions stop them from manufacturing (ergo, "selling stuff")....we all lose.

It's a very different world today.

If it's too expensive....well...YOU'RE going to buy a 30 dollar Hibachi as opposed to a 200 dollar one because frankly....all you want to do is burn a few steaks.

Don't know that I'd say that about soldiers.  Hired a few....those guy want to work...It ain't about patriotism....they just work hard.  As a business owner, I couldn't give a shit if you're Black, Portugese', Latino, Russian, military or non....all I give a shit about it is, if I pay you 20 bucks an hour...I expect 70 to 100 bucks an hour productivity in return..

If you're a soldier and you produce less....you're out.  If you're Russian and you produce twice what I need....I'm gonna hire your relatives.
