ORIGINAL: TheHeretic I found something for you, O59. The works of George Orwell are available free, online. Here is "Animal Farm," just start at Chapter 1. It isn't a very long book, or a difficult read, and if you read it, you'll at least understand that it's not a reference to Ned Beatty when I call you "Squealer." Hell, I'm an optimist, you might even understand a whole lot more than that. http://www.george-orwell.org/Animal_Farm/index.html You are aware, aren't you, the 'Animal Farm' is a parody, awork of f-i-c-t-i-o-n, written by a life long and very radical leftist? Napoleon and all the other bad piggies aren't real, nor does the 'farm' actually exist - they are objects of Orwells imagination. Parody can be amusing, instructive even - but it's not meant to be taken as the literal truth. While your point about authoritarianism is valid, Orwell's literary works and personal views leave no doubt that he would be scornful and scathing - if not outright contemptuous - about attempts to co-opt his work to support the reactionary billionaire-friendly positions you continually advocate here.
