Any more info than what's presented here? Because there's not really enough here to call anyone a "lying piece of shit."

She didn't directly claim "Half failed a drug test." Look close enough, she states that she was TOLD that "half failed a drug test."

What that *doesn't* say, is who actually made the claim that half failed, or the spirit in which it was said. It could have been an exaggeration/hyperbole on their part that got misunderstood, etc.

Or it could be that she *was* lying, but the facts that are present are insufficient for that deduction.

South Carolina's unemployment agency has said that drugs are a minuscule factor in jobless claims. A 2009 estimate put the rate at 0.3 percent.

The Legislature is considering a drug-testing measure this year would cut off benefits if an applicant failed a potential employer's drug screening test. Indiana and Wisconsin approved similar legislation this year.

The National Employment Law Project says there are no federal laws barring the practice and states have considered, but rejected, requiring the tests as a condition of receiving benefits. However, federal law won't let them charge the unemployed for the tests and states don't want to cover the costs. For instance, Texas legislators pushed that proposal until they found out it would cost taxpayers $30 million, said policy analyst Rebecca Dixon.

Yet she believed half of those who applied failed drug testing? We are talking about half of those who applied for hundreds of jobs.... and the company paid for all those people to be drug tested... before offering a job? And that the other half were unqualified?

Won't argue there's reason to believe, though obviously your standards of evidence widely differ from mine.

There's just no reason to state as fact with the above, when many other possibilities are equally viable...Hanlon's Razor and all for starters.

My standards are 18 USC 1001. She made a "Material Misstatement", and if she made it during an interview with a Federal Agent and/or Employee, she could find herself behind bars for a year as a Felon.
