Moral of the story; if you're gonna fake a kidnapping do it at K-mart, no one ever shops there...

Didn't the cars in the parking lot (especially the moving ones) give them the hint that people were around and might notice?

I swear, these are the people that give kink a bad name. The press pointing out the stupid people like them.

They were lucky.  If I were the police chief, I would have billed those idiots for the time spent investigating and chasing them down.

I looked at a couple of the comments, seems two people left comments that saw this happen....I agree with Steven, these people should get a bill for the police time wasted.

There are plenty of places to do this type of thing with no one around.  I'm sure they could have found a better place.

Idiots.

They did this outside a Walmart and didn't anticipate there would be witnesses? Dumb asses. I wish the cops could fine the morons. Not to mention how horrifying it must have been for the witnesses to see something like that.

I wonder if they will come here and complain about not being allowed to play in public and dont people get its just a "scene".
I love to play in "public" actually just outdoorplay but Im not dumb or ignorant enough to do it in front of any people, let alone a LOT of people.
While I have no problem with exhibitionism per se, kidnap is gonna scare the public, thats not cool.

Reminds me of another kidnapping story a few years ago, where someone ran a company where people could "hire" the company to kidnap themselves. A plain clothes policeman noticed the "kidnapping" and shot one of the kidnappers through the head. As his duty mandates.

Perhaps it's a British thing but... I heard of a guy who was flagged down by police checking about some terrorist alert, and the cop who opened the boot (trunk, in US English) found his girlfriend bound and gagged.  He politely asked "Excuse me, Miss, are you there of your own free will?" and when she nodded vigorously, he closed the lid again and said "Fair enough Sir, do drive carefully."

I think it was pretty reckless and stupid to do it at a Walmart. There were definitely better places to do it.
