In reply to Arpig: TY so much Sir for that valuable post. i have had experience with Men who did not "want sex" and i know they could not sustain an erection. i need sex -- and grant You that there is much more to it than f**king -- but Men are not (ime) willing to even disclose that They have such a problem prior to the moment at which it can no longer be denied. i realise that is a time to reassure, and i do that. However, let me add this: i think it is dishonest for a Man who cannot make love, ever, not to disclose this in the "getting to know Y/you" phase. If i were informed, i could give (or withhold) my consent to continue talking as Dom and sub. That is a decision i feel i should have the right to, and am now adding this (subtely) to my general inquiries about a Man's sexual history. i still don't know if i'll receive honest answers. i have not yet decided if i would accept a collar from an impotent Dom, but i would never return my collar due to this. Within a lot of D/s relationships there is the time out or the may I speak freely time. If you keep a journal that the Dom/Master reads, then write freely about your thoughts and feelings. My Pet and I agree with you 100% that this is something you have a right to know before entering a relationship. However, how to bring it up during the getting-to-know-you phase? damned if I know, that is going to be one tense few minutes [;)] One idea I had is to ask him if he had ever tried viagra, that will at least get the topic out in the open, and his answer (or perhaps more tellingly his reaction) should tell you enough to go on from there.

that would all depend on the underlying cause, some are psychological, others are for other issues would need to see a physician

I do know first hand that some of the bp meds will really wreak havoc. I know two men, one has a high blood pressure problem, and the other has a problem with severe headaches. Both on two totally different meds, but both have problems with ED. As far a bringing this up during the "getting to know you" phase, all I can say is be as sweet and polite as you can when asking. I have had Doms and subs I've spoken with before who were in their mid 40s-50's who showed an interest in me, and this is one question I have to know the answer to before entering into a new relationship. However, as arpig stated, there is more than one way to pleasure a woman.
