I was viewing (not perving) the profile of 21 year old male Dom, and it said something about women over 50 not bothering to contact him. This suggested to me that at some point,a woman over 50 had contacted him, which I found astonishing. I have talked to my friends my age about this, (40-62 year old women) and we all agree that men that young never even show up on our radar. I can't even imagine being attracted to someone that young. I even consider it kind of disgusting, possibly because I have kids that age. So you under 30 year old Doms, do 50 year old women really contact you? Am I just being naive here? And over 50 female subs, do you ever find yourself attracted to men that young?

That's a hard one for me. I've always considered age to be just a number. It is maturity that matters, not the number of years we've been on this earth. That said, having a 27 y/o son and a 24 y/o daughter who is about to make me a proud grandma, I would find difficult to get involved with somebody in their 20s or 30s. Difficult, not impossible. It would depend on the man.

Actually, yes. Of unsolicited contact (excluding stuff from the forums) all but 1 has been older than me and probably a solid third are at least 45. I don't really have an issue with it. If it's someone I find attractive and I have a connection with, I make very little distinction by age.

I have had a few older women contact me, one was over 50 and commented on my looks (as most messages seem to do, zzzz) but other than that it is usually 30 or a little higher that I see a lot of. On occasion those in my age range message me as well. Of course I'm not counting anybody from these forums.

I'm over 40 and when I was looking would add a line in my profile referring 20-somethings to TNG groups. I've always ruled out much younger men for relationships but have succumbed to the occasional dalliance. I call it the "Rhodes Scholar Exception."

I've had interest from quite a few women over on Fetlife that were old enough to be my Mum. There are plenty of older women who either prefer younger men or just see age as a number. When I first got into this I never thought young girls would want to be with older guys either until I saw all of the profiles of 18 year olds asking for guys 40+. I don't find it disgusting or surprising, everybody is into different things. Things that you find a turn off will be another's sexual fantasy.

Part of my parameters is a partner my own age. Of course, I'm narrow minded. I not only want someone of my age, but a heterosexual of the opposite sex. I've never dated guys under 5'11. I'm not interested in subs, etc etc. Nor vegetarians. And I don't like cheesecake either.

Actually, it was NS that had the "no old chick" thing on his profile. Something along the lines of, if you are over 50, get realistic. The fact is, I can't even imagine even being remotely attracted to someone that young. Not physically, not mentally, not sexually, not any way. Obviously, when I was that age, I was. Interesting how my tastes have changed.

This is interesting. I tend to get unsolicited responses both here and on my vanilla profile from women who are about 5 to 10 years older than me, but rarely younger than me. I always assumed that the women in their 20s and 30s get so many messages that they would never have time to look at profiles. It sounds like the other possibility might be older women looking for younger men.

I get mail from all ages, and sadly both sexes. Apparently some men out there don't know how to use the search function. The women are usually younger, I do occasionally see older women messaging me, but most of them only send me 1 liners so I don't bother responding, I've only had a hand full of 50+ women message me. I would say the majority of my Cmail has been +/- 10 years age difference. I suspect that most people regardless of sex or orientation want someone around thier age because they believe it will be easier to relate. I don't support this thinking, but I do suspect that is what a good number of people base thier search criteria on.

I think it's more common for casual vanilla type stuff. When I was in my twenties, there were a handful of older women (10+ years) that I'd hang out with, go to bars and stuff, screw around with just for fun. Their friends had their younger-guy-casual-stuff too. This was in a small college town, kind of known for partying. I think a lot of it, in my case, was women who'd married assholes at a young age, then divorced and just wanted to have a good time. It seems weird to me, though, for an older submissive woman to approach a younger dom. it seems to me that the emotional/spiritual/mental aspects of a BDSM relationship would steer a woman (or anyone for that matter) to a more established or experienced person. Of course there are exceptions. One thing I've noticed, and I am aware this will probably be an unpopular opinion, it is something I have noticed in my life, and that's all I am saying is that it is something I have observed, NOT saying it is the norm...it has been my experience that women that were significantly older than me, (20 years ago), that pursued me for a serious relationship have been pretty unstable/immature across the board. I mean 30-40 year old women that wanted a 22 year old boyfriend, NOT a 22 year old sex buddy.
