I see in that quote certain presumptions that result from preconcieved notions about a certain group of people. That is bigotry. My ultimate hope in pointing such things out is that people will see that we are all bigots about something. Many of us don't think we are bigoted because we are not biggoted about the things it is deemed socially unaccepteble to be bigoted about (racism, gender, sexual preference, etc) but we fail to see our "socially acceptable" biogtry for what it is... and that it all stems from the same source: human nature. We are a tribal species and we tend to think the best of anyone we precieve to be in our tribe and the worst of anyone outside of our tribe (the aforementioned posters are excellent examples of this... but to be fair, they are far from alone). It takes real effort to overcome this (I make no claims to perfection in this area myself) and until we as a species begin to look upon the whole human race (instead of just portions of it) as our tribe then we will be condemed to being nothing more than clever primates engaging high tech shit flinging contests.
