Like I said people are pissed.

Those arent dumb assed kids out there, these are middle aged and seniors and on even said take em to the hague!

When they find out protests do not work and they do not live in anything that resembles a "free" country guns will be next.

SternSkipper -> RE: Veterans attempt citizens arrest of Rummy (9/29/2011 1:58:38 AM)

They should barricade him in and light the place up.

erieangel -> RE: Veterans attempt citizens arrest of Rummy (9/29/2011 2:15:41 AM)

Nope, not kids at all.  Radical, nonetheless, as some would portray them.

There's a cell in The Hague with Rummy's name on it. Just think of the company he'll have - all the war criminals of the Balkans and Africa. Now there's a ideal peer group for Rummy. What a happy convivial bunch they'll make as they swap old soldiers' tales and tips on torturing people to while away their remaining days .......

Can whoever sends him there pick up our ex-PM Howard on the way through please? I've got his address if it's needed. There will be no shortage of Aussies anxious to escort Howard onto the plane and make sure no harm comes his way before his well-earned trial. It might even give the phrase "extraordinary rendition" a civilised meaning again.

Wow. Now there is someone living in the land of illusion. He was one of the most inept defense secretaries ever. He had no military background and was completely wrong for the job.

I sympathize with those veterans. When I think of all of those who have been killed and wounded (including the Iraqi people) I am just sick about it. That war should never have happened.

Owner59 -> RE: Veterans attempt citizens arrest of Rummy (9/29/2011 7:58:00 AM)

Good for them.

Shame of Dumbsfeld.

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Veterans attempt citizens arrest of Rummy (9/29/2011 8:34:27 AM)

Another massive fail in Boston. Maybe somebody should have told them that to arrest someone there should have been a crime.

Was he inept and lacked experience the first time, or the second time that he was SecDef?

Hey remember last week when you were having conniption fits over the authority endowed in the park rangers who exercised their patriot act authorities on your dancing dweebs?
Now your back kissing Rummy's ass? Are you just completely palsied? Rummy was one of the key contributors of the modified civil rights tweaks.
What a waste of carpeting remnants

This coming from a guy who lives in a town where the social competition centers around how many illegals it takes to maintain your day to day lifestyle. Chuckles here has three working on his car alone

Donald Rumsfeld

Rumsfeld served as the 13th Secretary of Defense from 1975 to 1977, under President Gerald Ford, and as the 21st Secretary of Defense from 2001 to 2006, under President George W. Bush. He is both the youngest (at 43 years old) and the oldest person (at 74 years old) to have served as Secretary of Defense.

Other interesting trivia about this inept and inexperienced individual:

Military service

Rumsfeld served in the United States Navy during peacetime, from 1954 to 1957, as a naval aviator and flight instructor. His initial training was in the North American SNJ Texan basic trainer after which he transitioned to flying the Grumman F9F Panther fighter.

In 1957, he transferred to the Naval Reserve and continued his naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist.

On 1 July 1958, he was assigned to Anti-submarine Squadron 662 at Naval Air Station Anacostia, District of Columbia, as a selective reservist.

Rumsfeld was designated aircraft commander of Anti-submarine Squadron 731 on 1 October 1960, at Naval Air Station Grosse Ile, Michigan, where he flew the S2F Tracker.

He transferred to the Individual Ready Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and retired with the rank of captain in 1989.

Other, Synopsis

Rumsfeld, who is a member of the Republican Party, was White House Chief of Staff during part of the Ford Administration and also served in various positions in the Nixon Administration. He was elected to four terms in the United States House of Representatives, and served as the United States Permanent Representative to NATO. He was president of G. D. Searle & Company from 1977–1985 in which position he succeeded to legalise Aspartame, CEO of General Instrument from 1990–1993, and chairman of Gilead Sciences from 1997-2001. Rumsfeld is one of the key people responsible for the restructuring of the military after 2001, for designing the national response to the September 11 attacks, and for taking charge of the wars in War in Afghanistan (2001–present) and War in Iraq (2003–2010),

Lots more detail about how inept and inexperienced he was in the Wiki article I linked to above.

Really inept and inexperienced, this guy.  No community organizing on his resume anywhere! He's not qualified to hold any public office, it seems. [8D][:D]

Disagreeing about his policies is fine with me.

And, apologies, I got you a bit confused with DD, as you responded to my post to her.
