i've been asked to seek some advice on foot torture methods - this is mostly things around additional discomfort when wearing shoes, nothing that will leave any lasting damage, bruises are ok but the aim is discomfort.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Just wear heels long enough. It will hurt.

put a small rock in each shoe, or walk around barefoot everywhere.

I prefer to be barefoot whenever I can. How is that causing discomfort?

Of course if you blindfold them and make them walk barefoot....

Like others have said, high heels for extended periods of time, rocks in your shoes.....if you want to try shoeless torture, how about bastinado?

For shoeless torture a pinwheel is the worst for anyone with ticklish feet

A pair of shoes the wrong size worn occasionally perhaps, or you could wear white/pink/hated colour socks and sandals if you're going for mental discomfort...

Sand in a shoe is always irritating

The use of older shoes, strip out the insole and put bare feet to rough interior, or just insert your own custom roughened insoles.

Outside the shoes, if you're into needle or fire play I am told it can be rather interesting as the feet are connected to many nervous groups in the body, this also makes them a little more risky to torture too I'd guess.

I can vouche for a sunburn on the feet being very irritating for sure! Like wise having tiny cuts or blisters and being forced to walk around in salt water can be aggrivating.

(Disclaimer, doing anything that might dull or ruin the nerve endings in your feet is inadvisable, as the furthest extremities from your head and heart they are prone to circulation and nerve problems before anything else.)
