My sweet subby has his bday coming up. I want to buy him a violet wand as it is something he has fantasized about and would really be a fun thing for both of us. My electro experience is SEVERELY limited....I have never used a wand, only an estim unit a couple times. I simply want advice on where to go for a good beginners wand....one that will not be weak or tame but WILL be easy to use and ideally under $300? oh and blue would be the best color but not required

Ebay. If you search for bd10 (I am not really sure about the exact number) you will find one brand new one for around 180. They are used to test neon signs

Make sure you do not get one that has a wax core. Get only one with a ceramic core. Wax melts when it gets hot, limiting your use of the wand. I would consider the foot pedal and the body contact plate the most important items to have with the wand.

I like the attachment that comes with it . I like it and use it so much, it is welded in there now !!

I have a oooold like me but all seem to work the same.
As someone else said get the body pad and foot switch
with it ooooh so useful. Other cool things mylar flogger,
finger picks( think banjo). Violetwanda.com is a good
site for acc and advise.

You may want to check out the violet wand group over at fetlife.com

Hear about some of the history with eclectic electric and the experiences people have been having with Violet Wanda's new company.

I've played with a few wands now but don't own one and as such can't give you an terribly informed review. However you'll find plenty of very knowledgeable people to give you reviews over at fetlife.
