Quit complaining, Aileen.  [8D]  It snowed here today.

GreedyTop -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 1:41:49 AM)

so.. who won the pool?

LadyPact -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 1:49:28 AM)

Believe it or not, I did.  If you saw on the "other site",  I mentioned that I was told the first average snowfall was October 12.  Nobody else gave a closer date.  With that prediction, I was the person who called it within twenty-four hours.

YAY!!

LadyPact -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 1:57:13 AM)

Oh, I'm not sure about "yay".  I'm still kind of a chicken shit about the white stuff being My first year up here.  I'm the demo presenter this weekend and I'm a little worried about getting to Fairbanks.

GreedyTop -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 2:12:37 AM)

I wasnt YAY-ing about the snow..just you being the pool winner..

snow can suck.. just make sure you have an emergency pack in the vheicles.. water, non-perishable foods, blankets, etc.. (adn I know I dont need to tell you this.. consider it my Mama mode..LOL)

LadyPact -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 2:20:22 AM)

I know.  I do the same thing with you.  <wink>

We just went a couple of weeks back for the "winter provisions".  The truck is stocked.  Water, food, blankets, etc.

Shit.... I bought a pair of winter boots that were more expensive than a waist cincher!!!

GreedyTop -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 2:26:49 AM)

yeah..but the boots will work better in adverse weather conditions LOL

LadyPact -> RE: It's 7 o'clock out... (10/12/2011 2:29:58 AM)

We'll see what happens when it's thirty below.

I love Fall, it's my favorite season of the year. I love the feeling of "nesting." that comes over me. I live in Houston and this summer would make anyone want to move. What good is the sunshine if you have to stay inside. Can we say 112 degrees? Yikes. My kinder and grandkinder live in the Pacific Northwest. I don't know if I could do a month straight of rain and gray again;1 week of sunshine. Starts to shake at the thought.  I make have to become a snowbird if I move back there.
