NOTE: JUST IN CASE THERE IS ANYBODY WHO DOESN’T GET IT… THE FOLLOWING IS SATIRE (which is why I placed it in the humor section).
After all the debates about the new tone being enforced by the Mods and all the usual left/right shift flinging that is still going on, I have come to the following decision:
People just have an innate need to say “Fuck You!” [sm=sodoff.gif]
Somebody says something that we don’t like, something that violates our world view or is seen as a character attack and the urge builds in us. We can’t let it go. When we see a new thread started by that somebody we jump in. The first “Fuck You!” usually takes the form of “well your side did this!” with “so shut up” implied if not directly stated. The back and forth begins with each side issuing a series of “Fuck You!’s” usually in the form of accusations of trying to derail the thread and hypocrisy. This continues until the thread either dies a natural death or the Mods get frustrated enough to lock the thread (I’m beginning to develop a real sympathy for the Mods, it must be absolutely exasperating sometimes… like trying to baby sit 50 four year olds jacked up on too much sugar).
So anyway, I’m thinking that perhaps the solution is to have a thread dedicated to cutting through the bullshit, a thread where you can expurgate the hard feelings (for a while at least) by simply saying “Fuck You!” That way we can leave the other threads to more civil debate. I don’t know if this will work but I think it is worth a try (if the Mods don’t lock it, that is).
So I’ll get us started:
Fuck You NocturnalStalker
Fuck You, Ron!
Fuck You, Tazzy!
Fuck You, Heather!
Fuck You, Farglebargle!
Fuck You, Owner59!
Fuck You, Willbeurdaddy!
Fuck You, Imperatrix... tix… whatever.
Fuck You, Heretic!
That should be enough for now. I don’t want to leave anyone out but I don’t have time to give a “Fuck You!” to everybody. Now I want it understood that I don’t really bear any ill will to the people just mentioned [sm=hippie.gif] but I wanted to be egalitarian.
