Polite,

If you are specifically talking about Sanity (which you are), then perhaps you are seeing only what you wish to see, since any mention of race or race-baiting on his part has been in reaction to the American Left's use of race and race baiting.

I find it sadly humorous that you call "racist" and "race-baiter" when the very people who have had this technique of political alienation used on them (in general for decades and more intensely for the last three years) start pointing out the fact and turning the same technique (usually as satire) back on the original accusers.

Firm

If you think I am only seing what I want to see, then right back ta ya Firm. My Remarks are based on his posts, both now and back in the run up to the 2008 election.

LOL Really? Now I didn't know that little factoid, but if that is where you need to go to find something, I think my question has been answered.

You said we had never had a monarch who was coloured, Moonie is pointing out one Queen of England, a more recent one was Queen Charlotte, her of Charlottesville, wife of George 3rd. Since she had black heritage, every Royal since had black heritage. That said, your chain of thought is way off beam, because the majority of people in the UK period wont have a chance to become monarch. This is due to the royal bloddline so you are using a very poor example.

Since you persist in being pedantic, we havent had a Muslim Pope or a Protestant Dali Lama. [;)]

I wasn't aware that any of the Royals you mention were elected.

Stuarts, Windsors and Pendragons.

Lucylastic -> RE: Why the Democrats are so full of hate (10/14/2011 11:06:09 AM)

talk about redundancy
I also guess he ignored my post about the Baroness and Lord..

mnottertail -> RE: Why the Democrats are so full of hate (10/14/2011 11:09:24 AM)

They have to fit it in to their notions, which generally means the facts are ignored.

So, we may have found the answer to the OP. Democrats are full of hate of the republicans hating facts, and calling what they engage in, honest debate.

What they repaid has nothing to do with future profitability. They have a responsbility to their shareholders to maximize profits, period.

What they repaid had everything to do with the future. The government didn't bail BOA out so they could cut jobs. Part of preventing economic disaster is to keep people working. The government didn't bail any company out just so they could turn around and make the economy worse by cutting jobs.

Sanity -> RE: Why the Democrats are so full of hate (10/14/2011 11:40:08 AM)

You really think they cut jobs just to be evil, do ya?

mnottertail -> RE: Why the Democrats are so full of hate (10/14/2011 11:41:11 AM)

No they do it to increase the top managements bonuses, they cant live on what they could barely scrape by on last year, there aren't enough fur lined sinks in the world........

Sanity -> RE: Why the Democrats are so full of hate (10/14/2011 11:46:10 AM)

Oh, okay - they did it to give "evil bonuses" to top managers...  [:D]

If you think I am only seing what I want to see, then right back ta ya Firm. My Remarks are based on his posts, both now and back in the run up to the 2008 election.

Well, I can't claim that I've read everything ever written by any of us clowns here on the forums (well, I generally read everything I or Treasure write, but I've been known to be a bit in my cups from time to time when writing myself, so you could make the argument that I've not even read everything that I myself wrote .... [:)][8D]).

But what I saw and see are primarily him being tagged with the "racist" moniker due to "code words" and third or fourth order assumptions about what "he meant to say" or what "he is really saying".  In other words, the left using the race card just like they have done for decades to paint anyone with whom they disagree with a canard in order to marginalize them, and cast them into the outer darkness of political hell.

Now, when the major concerns about Obama (that he and other conservatives had from the beginning) seem prescient and when the left starts attacking a rightie who just happens to be black ... it's a pretty funny (read sarcastic and ironic) game to play by throwing it all back into their faces.

Which is what Sanity is doing, and what I and other conservative (or, at least non-ideological leftists) have started to do with the issue.

It's kinda fun, to see the logical pretzels some tie themselves into, in order to continue to throw the race card back to the right.

That's all I'm saying, or attempted to say, although with less detail.  [8D]

"Left's use of race and race baiting."

Can you give us some examples of this, Firm?

Owner,

I'm really not going to waste much time on looking, 'cause you know exactly what I mean.  It's SOP for many Dem's and leftists.

Here's some places you can start:

race baiting on the left

race baiting by Democrats.

http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,399921,00.html

Perfect example of what I'm talking about:

Reagan was a racist. All Republicans are racist.

Everything is seen in a race versus race context, never about the issues actually under discussion (them "codewords" that those crafty Democrats can sniff out, 'cause they just know that us racist bastards can't come out an actually, yanno, say what we mean).

Thanks for the timely example of the long history of Democrats and lefties throwing the race-card around, Ron.

Come on Firm,no one on the left,or the right for that matter, needs to resorts to canards to marginalize sanity....his work speaks for itself...and rather loudly .
As a matter of fact it is the rational right leaning poster who marginalizes himself when he tries to defend sanity. There are a number of you that I actually respect, yet I cringe every time I see one of these knee jerk attempts to defend this buffoon.
Can you explain to me why you do it ?
I hate to make assumptions but based purely upon what I perceive as intelligence and reasonableness you must recognize that the man is a far right loon ,prone to the extreme on every position and incapable of independent thought....why do you feel a need to defend him?
Why not disown his rhetoric and stake out a more defensible position ?

Yeah, codewords, racist democrats, racebaiting by democrats....

signed.....Barack Obama the Magic Negro (and so on, and I didn't say it about myself.)

Sure there are racist democrats for fucks sake, and plenty of racist republicans, racist is not a political party.

Lets not let nobody act fuckin hurt here though, or come off as a innocent on behalf of their political side.

http://hiphoprepublican.com/feature/2009/07/11/nj-gop-assembly-candidate-if-you-want-to-act-like-niggers-go-back-to-paulsboro/

and........

“I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We’re proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn’t have had all these problems over the years, either.“

That cost that coder his job.

Hey, the list goes on and on on both (and all sides) racism is racism, I will not do an exhaustive example.

I disagree with you, mike.

I think Sanity takes things more personally than I do, and isn't always as effective in presenting his point of view as he could be, but I see little that is actually objectionable, or incorrect.  Perhaps I wouldn't present them the same way, but I guess whatever name you want to give him, you could just as well give me.

I think the main thing is that he gets a little too wrapped up in the emotions, and the insulting behavior and comments that come his way.  But it's his decision about how he goes about things, not mine.

I can't (and won't) attempt to defend him everywhere, and every time.  That's not my responsibility.  But when it fits into the flow of the thread, and I'm involved, and it's apparent to me, I'll occasionally speak up.

Why don't you try actually engaging him, rather than going so fast to the insult, and assumption that he is a "loon"?  Perhaps if you extended him an openly honest mind, and opened your heart, you might find that he isn't nearly the caricature that you think he is.

Firm
