Nice post Iamsemisweet :) I don't remember you doing any of that, either. Experience does have value, the problem is when a person automatically assumes that their opinions SHOULD be more valid for the simple fact that they've just lived longer. I think people of differnt ages can learn from each other and should be open to that. It just seems as if older people feel they have nothing to learn, no matter hhow they pay lip service to the "a wise man knows he's a fool" idea.

good fucking points lilly, but you'll notice there are a certain bunch who just ignore your posts. ergo the biddy brigade. they aren't worth engaging on anything but the snark level. lord knows semisweet and i clash a fuck of a lot, and she and heather too, but she rarely, if ever descends to the level of the biddies.

a lot of what she thinks ifs fucked up in my eyes, but i generally respect her. the others? pfft all i have to say to them is this.

Well...the same thing could be said for me and the two of you. We've clashed a hell of a lot but (to memory) I've never used the age card.

I actually agree with you there Lilly. The thing is, I don't ever recall you making any post that made me think you were a youngun who thought they knew it all. I have learned different perspectives on many things from reading your posts.

I suspect it is not so much an age thing on here, as it is a perception thing. Sometimes folks rub us wrong, and there is no explaining the reason why. The written word doesn't show smiles and the emotion behind them, like face to face does.

It just is what it is. I give up on trying to figure it out, in fact I just don't give a damn any more to be honest. I interact with kids, college students, folks of all ages, on a daily basis, and I learn from them as much as they (I hope), learn from me.

I will say to you that I apologize if I have ever done anything on here to make you think I was playing the age card. I find you to be thoughtful and delightful as hell, not to mention ya wear such a cute outfit!
