1000 people is aprox .03% of the population of Oakland. And according to you they are not even all actually from Oakland.


There are lots of reports of the planned march this evening.

Ive read there is a walk planned at the port at five pm, but I didnt see MOB, ATTACK OR FORCE used in any of the reports.

lucky... there is no "force". That is the part about your post that is the lie. In fact, the Union has doubts itself. If the OWS creates a picket line, the union workers may not cross it.

Organizers say they want to halt "the flow of capital" at the port, a major point of entry for Chinese exports to the U.S. It's too early to tell how much port operations will be disrupted or how many port workers will walk off the job. Union members could recognize the Occupy demonstration as a picket line and refuse to cross it on Wednesday night, said Stan Woods, a spokesman for the longshoremen's union in Oakland.

As far as the actual wording from OWS...


On Oct. 29, the assembly also announced a plan to march on the Port of Oakland with this resolution:

"On Wednesday, Nov. 2, as part of the Oakland General Strike, we will march on the Port of Oakland and shut it down. We will converge at 5 p.m. at 14th and Broadway and march to the port to shut it down before the 7 p.m. night shift.

"We are doing this in order to blockade the flow of capital on the day of the General Strike, as well as to show our commitment to solidarity with Longshore workers in their struggle against EGT in Longview, Wash. EGT is an international grain exporter, which is attempting to rupture longshore jurisdiction. The driving force behind EGT is Bunge LTD, a leading agribusiness and food company, which reported 2.4 billion dollars in profit in 2010; this company has strong ties to Wall Street. This is but one example of Wall Street’s corporate attack on workers.

"The Oakland General Strike will demonstrate the wide reaching implications of the Occupy Wall Street movement. The entire world is fed up with the huge disparity of wealth caused by the present system. Now is the time that the people are doing something about it.The Oakland General Strike is a warning shot to the 1 percent – their wealth only exists because the 99 percent creates it for them."

THe Mob is going to try to use force to shut down the port this evening.

The Union wont join thier strike (absolulty zero have), so they are left using violence and economic terrorism.


since they dont have the people with them.

As for people coming over from Frisco, I dont make out a huge difference between those from Oakland and Frisco. I see them as the same metro area. Similar to Miami/Ft lauderdale where I used to live. (One caveat, I don't say that around a hardcore baseball or football fan unless I have all weekend to listen to their rants).

where do you get 7.1 Mil?

809 K or so per US Census bureau. If you were to add the populations of the 2 together for your statistics, wouldn't it stand to reason you would also add the OWS groups together prior to calculation of your percentage?

Being as how Frisco is 'Liberal Central' (can you think of a large city offhand that has more of a liberal reputation? I can't) I'd hazard a guess that there are quite a lot of folks in their OWS protest.

All reports are coming in in the thousands (thats plural) and Oakland has a population of around 390,724 so you got all your numbers wrong, and since you earlier have said 375,000 and are now saying 7.1 million, you are lying again.

and nobody bites the ankles of invertabrates, they haven't any.
