I am a fairly new submissive, and was hoping to get some feedback as to what qualities a dominant woman looks for when evaluating a potential submissive male (besides being submissive, of course). Do you value a submissive who has his own thoughts and ideas, or do you prefer someone who simply does what they are told? Are looks very important, or is his submissive energy and devotion to you more important?

I'm a very easy going Domme,the most important quality is not whether you know how to kneel as much as whether you know how to tell the truth.

Honesty is the key...honesty gets you what your looking for.

All Domina have Their Own style so I cant say there is one way to act to over another,with exception of ALWAYS BEING RESPECTFUL.

My list of what I look for,in no particular order:
Honesty,Sense of Humor,A fairly decent ability to endure pain.Respectful (of not just Me but others),If they are looking for a sexual relationship as part of their Domination(A huge NO THANKS),do they "party"(some is okay in moderation,hard drugs...get away from Me),I tend to want to know about their personal life right off the bat...it gives Me the best idea of what they are really like.I ask about fetish likes, but I dont need to hear a fantasy ,thanks anyway.

I dont think these actually qualify as Qualities,but are some things I look at.

Welcome to the boards.

Different Dommes will be attracted to different things. I personally like a sub with thoughts/views who can express them, I also like devotion and obedience but I want that to be for me the person and not just because I state I am a Domme.

I have two hard and fast rules, after that, it's a matter of compatibility:

1. No bullshit. Don't tell me that you are a submissive then disrespect me with lies, inaccuracies, or manipulative behavior.

2. Be passionate. The source of your passion is secondary to actually being passionate about something. I don't care if you are crazy for motorcycles or movie theaters, just be really engaged in some aspect of life.
