Seems to me you dont even know your own history as well as I do. The majority of those on the South (both parties) voted against the Civil Rights Cct, while the majority in the North (again both parties) voted for it.

This is the type of statement that Politifact.com would call Mostly False. While it is true that it was the Democratic party that was pushing for black subjucation during the civil war and reconstruction, such a fact has little contextual value as the Democrats of yesteryear and the Democrats of today are disalike on every level. This statement is not used to point out an interesting foible of history; it is used in order to connect modern Democrats with the Democrats of long ago who pushed for slavery and Jim Crow laws, an inherently dishonest tactic.

Ironically, this repugnant former element of the Democratic party actually migrated to the Republican party in the early half of the 20th century. These politicians were called the Yellow Dog Democrats, and merged with the Republican party when their compatriots began to embrace civil rights.

Mann Coulter has been the subject of all sorts of such speculations over the years, and while it might be a mental diversion to consider the type of sexual identity and preferences Coulter might have, in the light of the various unusual pronouncements concerning gays, lesbians, women etc (How many single "real" women proudly announce single women are too stupid to vote, for instance?)

I hope "she" is asexual drone myself. and could care otherwise.

But this sudden interest in African Americans after publicly defending white supremacists groups and such lowers her credibility on the matter to somewhere below zero.

If you feel being on benefits is a gas, give it a try. Even in the socialist UK (joke) it isnt enough to make ends meet.

All benefits are is a form of assistance to those needy enough. Unless you are cheating the system, and sadly many do, benefits in no way pay for any decent standard of living. They just, and rightly so in my view, meet the essentials.

This is a common canard that I hear, but I don't think it is backed up by anything more than spurrious accusations. For one, "all their needs" is both broad and vague. What needs are we dependent on? Surely we're largely dependent on our government to make sure our communities are safe, our children are educated, and our roads are paved. Likewise, we depend on government to make sure poison isn't dumped into our sources of water and that working conditions are kept safe. And we depend on the government to protect us from other nations with the military. On the other hand, shouldn't we fairly expect to be dependent on such services? Would it even be sensible for these to be passed on to private enterprises? I'm not sure how comfortable I'd feel living in a nation with standardless private schools, private security firms busting criminals, and companies like Haliburton waging our wars.
