Okay, if you had the chance to improve or recognize the best ideas for making Collarme better than any other site out here for meeting and making friends, what would you want to see improved being a Mistress? How can your search for subs/slaves be made easier or maybe, something that you really think makes it alot better than other sites out here?

If I ran CollarMe:
1. I'd be broke, and
2. the website would probably be a mess!

Anyone have ANY idea how much work goes into maintaining this site? I'd never have the time.

Kudos to all who make CM possible,

TexasMaam

I would require that every profile have a 200 word minimum, so that those who are only joining to spam others with their crudeness, sales pitches, or immaturity, would at least have to make a sincere effort to be here, which would mean, that more than likely they really want to be here.

BlkTallFullfig -> RE: Okay, So If You ran Collarme? (5/25/2006 10:00:31 PM)

I would require everyone disclose:
1)Married/partnered
2)have additional options for top/bottom/undecided
3)Require a 200 word minimum profile, and block anyone who has more than 2 active profiles because there would be no need for that much anonymity/lying.
These ideas of course only because the site is already well run and amazingly for free, and truthfully, I couldn't do it.         M

200 word minimum profile my butt.

I'd require a 100 word MAXIMUM profile. Force people to be real.

Why doesn't CM have a place in the profile for marital status unlike other dating sites? I've always found that a but odd.

You really can't enforce the active profiles deal since anyone can make multiple e-mail accounts to make as many profiles as they want.

Do you really want thousands of profiles that say, "Hey, what's up?" I agree with those who said there should be a minimum.

I would require everyone to post in the nude, lol.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: Okay, So If You ran Collarme? (5/26/2006 12:05:04 AM)

As others have said, I would require everyone to state their marital status..  Not that this would prevent people from lying about it, but at least they'd be forced to specify one way or other.

On top of that, I would add a filter in Mail Controls so that responses from the married/separated folks could be directed to the Bulk Mail folder, as they are of absolutely no interest to Me and and I'd just as soon not see them in the first place.

You would, huh? Don't ya remember that quote from Mark Twain?

One thing I would like to see is Folders where you could store correspondence from particular members.  Keep all letters from each member together.  I lost track of people.  I end up copying and pasting into a Word document and that's a lot of work!!  Other sites have this function, why not CM??

I agree on the disclosure of Marital Status as well as some sort of Free Text introduction and not just answering the bare minimum questions

forluvofmaria -> RE: Okay, So If You ran Collarme? (5/26/2006 4:39:22 AM)

Interesting thread...Hmmm
1.) Marital Status disclosed--With the ability to have profiles reviewed for "honesty" and a symbol for shame if you have been Reported for lying about your status. ( who truly wants thier time wasted?)
2.) A option to review all emails from a single name when selected.
3.)A quicker way to review all of your own posts to the boards.

But I still find this site to be Very exciting and do "thank" the sub in FL for his great advice about this site---Thanks jim!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with the listed three items. I would also like to see an "other" catagory under Lifestyle  and Skills listings that would allow a person to type in an answer, the current ones are so limiting.

This is probably the best free BDSM site on the Internet.  I often wondered how they make any money.  Now there is a banner ad, but I guess times are tough.  It would be nice to have a little more in the way of tech support, but that's the way it works with an all volunteer army.  Having said all of that, I think that CM provides a great service to the community.

Yes and if people here clicked the ads and supported the sponsors then they would make money, be able to hire staff and additional support. If you already are going to use a service then why not click thru from CM? That's how I look at it.

If I used CM as a dating site...I guess the way to make it better would be to charge a fee for having a profile here, as well as charging another fee for each email sent.  This way it would cut down on both bogus profiles...there are some here that have MANY and the profiles aren't even of the same sex let alone the same orientation.  Also, charging per email would cut down on the number of people that spam everyone that meets there search criteria within a 4,000 mile radius.

However, as it is I think Collar Me is the best lifestyle site on the net.  I don't use it as a dating site, I don't mind using the delete button and I'm not bothered a bit by not replying to any unsolicited email, so then it's all good for me.

forluvofmaria -> RE: Okay, So If You ran Collarme? (5/26/2006 2:03:39 PM)

I doubt anyone was complaining...but who knows if improvements are to be made suggestions from the users do prove insightful. I work doing internet sales and as such improvements are always being done...some do work better than others...
"measure twice, cut once...."
I am enjoying knocking around this site way too much, so much to do so little time....

LadyAlexa -> RE: Okay, So If You ran Collarme? (5/27/2006 2:22:39 PM)

As others have said....CM is a great site.  There has been more influx with HNG's and wann do yous, but it's hard to weed them out.    Any site like this takes a lot of time and people so it would be hard to keep it going !!

I like the idea of marital status/partnership listed, but I don't know how it would be known how true it is.  Just like birth dates, anyone can put false info on here.

One thing that I would like, is deletion of profiles for those who haven't used them in say a year!  I'd do six months but I'm told I am too quick to delete others from some yahoo groups I'm on.   I figure if someone hasn't been active in that amount of time, then thereis no sense keeping them listed.   How much space would it save for CM?

If we want to make sure one profile/one person, then they'd have to request SS numbers....wow.   ok enough of big brother thoughts
