You have to love the comment from the Rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, who thinks islamophobia is creating the stigmatization of the faith. Really? So it isn't the firebombings and attacks on free speech that do that?

Of course, we don't have these issues in the States, probably because when US satirists who have the balls to after everything, including Muhammed, have a go at it, they simply get censored by Comedy Central.

Damn, I didn't know that Comedy Central controlled the FCC.

this is kind of odd timing/titling with the other bad bad thread that was posted a little bit ago.

anyway i agree -- acting as if the Islamophobia has no basis is silliness. firebombing places that say things you disagree with isn't exactly a "peaceful" way to get your point across.

OK, so Comedy Central doesn't report it. That means I have approximately 179 other channels that might report it including about 15 news chanels.

People take comedy central too seriously. (left and right leaning folks)

I see no connection between a French satire magazine and Comedy Central except they are both allegedly funny.

You might as well compare Captain Kangaroo to Lenny Bruce.
