Hello All...

Does anyone have a good reccommendation for collars that look like necklaces (no leather, all metal)? I am looking for something a bit more on the elegant, pretty and on the discreet side, it could have stones in it or not. A lock on it would be nice too. Any stores/websites anyone knows of would be of great help!

Thanks,
LilWillowGirl

ChaoticCreations collars are pretty glorious, but i dunno if they're still on hiatus or not...

if you're not so attached to something "collar-y," you could always go for a regular necklace. lock charms are actually pretty popular on necklaces.
(edit : the one by Tiffany is discontinued, but you can find others via Google.)

Go to Sears. One of my collars is a wide, flat silver one. It makes an excellent collar.

Yes, I am crazy about feathered creatures. I have a dozen chickens, 3 ducks, 5 geese, and 2 parakeets.

Revise that number. Just got 14 new chicks and 5 turkeys.

I was just browsing the web and came upon this site. It's not a fetish site but some of the necklaces look like they would be perfect for what you want. Prices range from reasonable to   The site is run by National Geographic and its stated purpose is to showcase the talents of artisans around the world.

you can also have a look around Etsy.com -- great source for hand-made stuff. there's a lot of chainmaille there at the moment (and at times, people are passing things off as hand-made and just jacking up the price =p -- just have to know what's reputable.)

Lady Mockingbird
makes some with patterned wire or wire wrapping; kinda similar in style to the ones by Chaotic Creations.

What about sterling silver chain link necklesses with the tag (usually heart shaped or round) that can be engraved? They look like a choker chain, and can be found at most jewerly stores, I've purchased them in the past from both Macy's and JC Penny's.

I'm told Tiffany's sells a locking heavy necklace. It'll cost what you'd expect a Tiffany's necklace to cost though.

here's one that's "Tiffany' inspired" -- the actual Tiffany's site says that this style has been discontinued, but it exists as knock-offs. =p (i dunno how reputable the site is, just posting as an example.)
