Ive asked a number of rubber fanatics and they tell me long term rubber enc is very dangerous ,apart from the smell created by stale sweat,u would soon become dangerously dehydrated and sweat rash and other long term skin disorders soon set in.The girl gold whose body was sprayed all over from her skin not being able to breathe another danger, apart from lack of sleep

the Goldfinger myth persists -- the girl who was painted gold did not die. we know that the body doesn't "breathe through the skin" the way it was made to sound in this movie...

I think the big problem with long term wearing of rubber or latex garments would be hyperthermia as there would be no way for the sweat to evaporate and cool the body.

no shit, thanks for the news flash there captain fucking obvious.

look cupcake, wearing the same fucking pair of cotton panties 24/7 for too long is dangerous so don't you think it kind of follows that being totally encased in rubber might just be as well?

The term "rubber"is rather inclusive.... but all impervious clothing can lead to heat stress as the natural cooling of the body is compromised. If you look into industrial hygiene standards, you get into problems with impervious clothing as low as 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Second point.. know what type of "rubber" you are dealing with.  PVC (Polyvynyl Chloride) outgasses some toxic chemicals and can quickly lead to chemical dermatitis.  Latex sensitivity is a learned sensitivity for the body and you never know when it will kick in.  After 25+ years of wearing latex gloves, I get clear blisters on the back of the hands if I wear them for too long any more.

And, anything that you sweat into can become a good breeding ground for fungus infections.  A whole body case of jock itch is not something you want to get into.

I would have thought high school biology would have been sufficient for that.

James Bond films aren't true to life? Took a while but I've come to grips with the whole Santa Claus thing. Now you want me to question the 24/7 latex/leather clad dominatrix ideal?

I tend to think in terms of body casts since Ive broken so many bones thru the years ... 6 weeks at a crack with no ill effects.
