This isn't true.  I did, however, serve in the US Army for four years.  I wasn't an officer... stick your fingers in your ears, Firm dear... I worked for a living. 

I met George W. Bush a couple of times when he came to support my campaign the one time I put my foot into the political arena.  He was only a Governor at that time, however.  The first was a general court-house "meet and greet" with speech, and the second was a dinner party given by a constituent.  He's very tall, and he was a charming conversationalist.

Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton were the two "correspondees".  I can't recall now what I wrote Clinton about, but I got a nice generic thank you card from the White House in return.  My letter to Ronald Reagan was offering support for an event for which the media had made an issue.  I received a wonderful, personalized letter back on White House stationary.  Was a big kick for me at the time because it was during my service in the Army, and in the middle of my work day I received a call from my Company Commander telling me to report to him at once.  When the mail clerk was sorting personal mail, he noted the White House stationary and took it to the S-1, who in turn took it to the Company Commander.  They had great concerns about a lowly PFC getting mail from the President. 

True, though not traditionally published.  It's even been translated into Spanish.  It's been years since I wrote it and I still get fan mail! 

Yep... plumbing and wiring, too.  My father bought and refurbished homes, and I was cheap labor.  Six am on a Saturday, it was not unusual to be roused with, "Wake up, daughter... we're gutting a kitchen today!"

I believe #2 is the lie as The US had travel restrictions during the period you would have been a child.

1.  Friends and I once built a raft and tried to paddle it across the Chesapeake Bay.
2.  I have been knighted.
