I am not defending anyone. I was pointing out that the hostility isn't a conservative thing as both sides do it. Now if I had said that they don't do it, that would be defending them.

My republican stepdad will be happy to hear this as he has a irrational dislike for her. I like basically like Joy. She's a performer not a journalist or a pundit. I don't think her show was meant to beca news show despite being on HLN. It was a talk show. My tv watching is erratic so I haven't seen her show a lot but I enjoyed the ones I did catch. The last I saw was one with Wanda Sykes and if Joy enrages you I can imagine what out and proud Wanda would do. Joy isn't a stupid woman. She has a masters degree in English and was a teacher before she went into show business. And as far as her voice goes, obviously everyone can't be blessed with the dulcet tones of Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham.
