My name is Xiao Ran (a nickname my friends call me, as I'm not actually Chinese). Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. As I stated in my profile, I'm new to the lifestyle and right now I'm trying to learn more about the community and myself too. Please treat me gently

How do you pronounce Xiao? Is the O silent?

And @ Fornica, the "ao" in Xiao are pronounced together as "ow". As in the sound you'd make if you hurt yourself. The whole word is pronounced similar to "she-ow". Feel free to ask any other questions

Fornica, sorry for the confusion. I'm not really sure where those asterisks came from, I originally had an 'at' sign. I promise that I'm not in the habit of insulting people upon first meeting .
